Take a page from Harmnone's book. He has a garage dedicated for Hide & Seek cars. All cars in that garage are plain ol' cars you can find off the street. They may be repainted, but he only uses paint colors you would find on cars driven by NPCs. No doubt his cars are upgraded to some degree: Bullet proof tires, better engine, etc. As long as the upgrade is not easily spotted (aka: no massive spoilers or other type upgrades that make you obvious to spot).

Well done NPC. You should have not moved when you shot Frog from that bush. He had no idea where it came from. All you had to say was "Aaaand I'm gone... Like a ghost.." Confusion rules. You held your cool better than the rest of them, it was impressive. But you should learn to better judge from their callouts from nades, whether or not to book it out of the area or continue to hide in plain sight. "Tell it to the judge" -- You did, the Duel was the judge and it judged you in the right.
