Making electronic music "messy" is far tougher than with analog, your decisions are forced to be intentional. Because the instrumental’s looseness is a facade, it’s riddled with so many subtleties that an attentive listener will catch something new each time. (0:32 someone is literally screaming in the background?) The mixing is so jarring, it's playfully between claustrophobic and spacious. Bladee’s voice especially will suddenly JUMP in front and then disappear, with only the echoes of his voice on the right and left end. The tempo is 92BPM, but seemingly lagging notes make it act like the ocean, you can't feel grounded & just let the song take you. Gud killed it
