Look at the reflection on the lake and the layout of the dock . It’s “old man consequences lake” cue the drowned animatronics. Also it’s worth pointing out that if it is old man consequences lake it looks like it’s about 1-2.5 miles from the house in fnaf 4 which would link fnaf world to the rest of the world space canon.

Theory about this game! Feel free to add in the comments :) I think that you play as the older brother/bully from fnaf 4. First and obviously, in the trick or treating mini game you wear masks just like the ones used by the bullies in fnaf 4. However, the masks are decaying and look much older. I’m sure that the brother wouldn’t use these masks anymore after they caused the death of his younger brother, so they grow old and rot away. It would also explain why the character is possibly imagining/dreaming about the animatronics. His brother just got murdered by one of them, but not only that, he is probably have the same nightmares as the crying child. His father, William, is using mind controlling discs (in your theory) to manipulate the crying child into having horrible nightmares about the animatronics. Don’t you think that his older brother would probably hear them too? He is hiding behind the mask to not only hide his remorse, but to keep him safe from the fate that took his younger brother. Finally, this explains why the room when you win a game is so dark looking. It’s the bullies version of the birthday party his brother died at. It’s a party with cake and balloons and fun posters, but it’s dark and twisted by his brothers death. The party is no longer fun, it’s sad and terrifying. You see this when you win because the bully survives, but his brother doesn’t. Meaning your alone and scared, surviving and moving on to this horrible room that would have been a party for the crying child. As a last point, the game is called ‘curse of dreadbear’. Who was the one who killed the crying child? Fredbear. But remember, that’s just a theory. A comment theory! You actually missed something because of the random dreadbear but when you turned the car lights purple you can see glitchtrap dancing in the hill, what else is on the hill? The fnaf 4 house. There's definitely something up with this new DLC. We're getting hints at lore from all different angles and I feel like this game is trying to send us back to a bunch of loose ends from the previous games. For example: the FNAF 4 house, the posters from FNAF 6, the car that turns purple, the masks from the FNAF 4 minigames, fredbears voice from UCN, and even the lake, which may be connected to old man consequences. Perhaps Scott is making a point at using this game to clarify things that didn't make much sense before. It's interesting to note that fredbears voice, from ultimate custom night, is present in this game. I found that detail quite strange, but it was put there for a reason. The question is, why? I also think it's important to notice that this DLC is very remanisant of the FNAF world DLC. The choice of characters, such as the nightmare animatronic reskins, may seem obvious to include, but I think there's something more to it. The story they are trying to tell, through FNAF VR, is beginning to intertwine with the games of past. The idea of "living code" may have a greater role in FNAF world, based on the obvious hints. I think that the fredbear that we were introduced to in UCN is not the fredbear we were expecting, but rather the fredbear from FNAF world. If you think about it, FNAF world is a place with "...more fantasy and fun..." than any other game we've seen so far.

In response to 12:20 - "WilloWhisper" reminds me of the Will o' the Wisp folktale, which was a ghost light that showed up to lure travellers away. Metaphorically it can be used to describe a hope or goal that leads you on but is ultimately unattainable or is sinister and confounding (quoted indirectly from Wiki). Reminds me both of the storyline in the game itself (William vs. Henry or the Vengeful spirit for example) but also the goal of trying to come up with a cohesive storyline for the series. Idk but I think it's a cool idea nonetheless.
