That's true but I'm pretty sure that back then Southern was a seperate company in its own right and that GTR did not exist. Back then FCC (First Capital Connect) also operated trains on parts of the network, they were better than GTR and I wish the government would bring back a competing franchise.

To be honest the only good thing about southern is their fleet 377s 171s 455s and 313s And they could be the best if they weren’t on strike every 5 minutes

Southern staff with a exception of a very small percentage have no empathy for their customers at all, all they care about is money and pleasing RMT and Aslef they are perfectly happy to cancel/Delay trains (fake or intentional sickness is in southerns staff control and majority of cancelations are for no availability for train crew, if they stopped paying for sickness I can guarantee how quickly the sickness levels would drop, its absolutely NO coincidence that the worst 2 days of the year for staff sickness was the 2 days before Christmas so the southern staff get 4 paid days off for Christmas and all their passengers get stranded). I am sure this will be removed as southern are obviously employing people to remove any negativity against them and speak the truth and are obviously in leagues with all media to control functions of right to reply to anyone denying southerns appalling service, and their customer service department is beyond useless.
