Another absolutely splendid episode, GTR! Thoroughly enjoyed the cameo by Funk and Cousin Ricky tonight! What a great mix of designs going into the finals we have. Great racing tonight! Incredible comeback by Johnny Smack after doing a 180 right after the jump! I'm pretty sure everybody was counting him out .... but noooo he came in second !!! I have noooo idea what happened to Sam after the 3 first races, but damn, that's a shame :( Guess tension got the best of him. Congrats to Johnny, tho, what a great comeback after a rough start! That reverse drift??? What a show, a great demonstration on how to hold your own even in the worst odds. Excited for the next race! I think i already know who's our favourite... Marco!

Gravity Throttle Racing continues to OUTDO themselves on every race, this is why they are the BEST at what they do. Race 6 was the race that did Pokey in, if he would've made it across the finish line he probably would've had a better chance a coming in first, nevertheless, it was a great 8 races and you couldn't ask for anything better.

Sam Haul didn't get his drift points in race 3. He was given 🔥

So a flame just means that the judges are considering it for 2 extra points; however, Pokey was judged as having the Best Performing Drift, so the +2 was added to his score.

The flame symbol only indicates a drift that is up for _consideration_ in deciding which driver gets those points at the end of eight races

Thanks for the feedback, Bob, and complimenting the track. Yep, there are commentary similarities. Adriel (3d) is very talented. He has influenced many diecast racing channels for the better, not unlike networks covering sporting events do it practically the same way. I am friends with Adriel and I'm proud to say imitation is the greatest form of flattery.

Back in the early days of the channel, it was a different track then, the final section was known as "The Eggbeater" and while it was a controversial design then--some folks simply did not get it--that section challenged drivers like nothing else I'd seen in the hobby. So, what you see today is much longer and *less* bumpy than what came before.

​@@Chris_HoodI was re-watching some GTR races at the old track last week. I love that track and unfortunately he didn't have enough acreage to keep it in business. It's also a shame that there have been a lot of great tracks that are no longer around. "Pave paradise, put up a lame strip mall."

@@lobotomyscam1051 oh the old track is still there. 😉😉 See you continue past the Scrambler, keep on that road. In four miles on the right, take Forestry Service Road 33. The sign is small, though. Follow FSR 33 approximately 8 1/3 miles, take the left fork another 2 miles, then the hairpin turn not at the first or second but the *third* spoon in the road and this will take you right to the Condor start area of the old track! 😄 Edited to add: I could have embellished the story more, I just need the coffee to start working. Also the host and I agree that in the story/lore of the channel, the two tracks are connected by some roundabout way even if physical reality says different.

This channel is fine. But the drift and train points are too much. The drift is silly and the bumps at the end deletes the excitement for a fast vehicle. It needs more speed and less slow down. Shake'n'bake
