Just got this. I think it’s the 2020 version. Works for me so far and this video was very informative to help me silence the sounds and learn how to access the menu. Wasn’t explained well by the installer

In all fairness to Compustar, the box says "up to" 3 mile range, but keep in mind that is under completely optimal conditions, probably meaning direct line of sight with absolutely nothing between the remote and the antenna and also excellent weather. No, I'm not a Compustar employee, I am a user that just tried this unit and will be returning it. It lost signal within less than a half mile at a university campus and there were maybe a bunch of trees and a couple of buildings slightly in the way. Compustar told me, realistically, I could probably get about a mile in the city, and I placed the antenna where they advised (in the headliner near the rearview mirror, in a horizontal position). If I had gotten about a mile, I would have kept it. Really nice unit and works with the Fortin EVO One, but not at all happy with the range for $350. Shame because it's a nice looking unit and good overall functionality.

Bought it for my wife's car '68 Austin mini and was out of town staying in a hotel and it still worked from our room to the underground concrete parking lot. Maybe due to pro installer. But no issues or complaints

So, how accurate is the temperature sensor? I have a Viper 5904, I thought that feature would be tits, but almost worthless. There are times in the summer where I'd check early morning and it would report 88f inside lol. I've read a lot mix things about Compustar alarms, but I'm still looking for something to replace my Viper with and there's pretty much nothing else out there besides that and this if you want remote start and temp sensor.

I didn’t try it yet but since you set the clock, do I have to go into the settings menu all the time to see the time. It should be right on that main screen. I knew it had more features, I just never set it up. I will mess with it tomorrow

Just had the Compustar PRO T12 Remote starter & alarm installed on my vehicle and although it's well made and a well functioning system, the LCD remote is not legible in bright daylight or direct sunlight. When contacting customer service they informed me that they had never had a complaint about this and that I should cup my hand over the remote to be able to see it better. That is just a stupid suggestion, especially if you are walking with a cane and carrying an armful of groceries. I have confirmed this problem with several other owners. For their top of the line product I would have expected better!

Michael Rodenkirchen I understand your complaint. Why are you needing to look at the remote in the first place? Everything has a haptic feedback of some sense. Press and hold key for start, lock, unlock, and trunk. I may understand if you have a mini van and are trying to open the sliding doors as that is a multi button function. Also when you call Compustar you are talking to a customer service representative who may have never had anyone complain before.

i have this system. everything works fine but the range is REALLY REALLY bad. i only get 170 meter range. horrible. even in a small mall i can't get a signal.

Is there a way to start my car while it it locked. When i try to start when it’s locked the alarm goes off.

So i just got this installed in a 2004 fx45, not happy with a couple features. Not sure if it was due to the way it was wired but here it goes i need my oem key fob to be able to turn the ignition, i can remote start but still need to maunally set ignition to one click before actual crank. Also if i remote start and shut it off my headlights stay on unless i go and open the door. Wtf.

A1Iron zyzz as far as the headlights the shop that did the install needs to pulse the drivers door pin with the rearm wire to turn them off. You will always need to use your key fob after you remote start. That is just the way it is.

No. to set reservation on a push to start car you will need to press the remote start on the T11 to activate.

oh ok thats not bad then. So with the push button start you'd pull the e-brake, press the remote start button, then get out with it still running. It would then shut itself off and arm itself, am i correct?

Just had this installed and I think it sucks,cant see the screen in day light at all.Another thing is the screen turn off after 9 seconds that is the max it will stay on for who ever invented that is an idiot.

It is garbage alarm just like Viper because you have to press and hold to auto start. That is ridiculous. I got my alarm install somewhere else and all I need to do just press it once and it start the car without holding the button. Press it once to shut off the auto start on my remote compare to Compustar and Viper press and hold to autostart. I miss my old alarm system better than they have now. Because I got 4500 ft range on my car. It is more range than Compustar and Viper.

Just leave your ac on before you get out of your car so when you remote start it it will be on.

Honda stock system has it where the default temperature is set to around 76 degrees and so in the summer it knows that it needs to turn on the ac to cool inside of your car from 100 degrees to 76 degrees without leaving it on and in the winter it kniw how to turn on the heater to get the inside temperature from 20 degrees to the default which is 76 degrees. Only thing with Honda is there is no 2 way remote n the range isnt too far, maybe 1000ft or less, other than that Honda is great too

Johnny Bouldin other Chanel on youtube and me that can’t get farther than 400-500 meters. Right now I’m at my installer because from 4.8 km visual to 0.4 km none visual is exaggerated. It’s not the remote that’s for sure. We have tried it. At compustar they said on the phone that is either the remote or the antenna. We’ll see.

Marco Polo I have had confirmed 2 miles. 3 miles is under perfect conditions just like your car has rated horsepower under perfect conditions. Also the way your antenna is mounted on your windshield can greatly affect the range.

Johnny Bouldin 2 miles visual? And with the T12 or the 2WG15R-SS witch this one is two miles. Because if you did the test visually, mean no building in the way then it’s not normal to loose a hole mile. We loose some when the car is not in sight. Some units seem to be defective. Me, I went to see my installer because I could get just few 100 meters only. Big difference between 4.8 kilometres (3 miles) and 400-500 meters. I heard Compustar employee say to my installer that is or the remote or the antenna or the wire. We have tried an other remote and no change. Antenna and the wire, no change. He will talk with a technicien and will call me in a few days. Before leaving, I told me maybe installing and othe module some 7200 model and which it has more features. He said that it may work better with the CM6000 witch is the windshield digit gizmo that lock and unlock doors.

Johnny Bouldin you can say all that but it is impossible to loose so little (1000 feet out of 16000 feet. This is all bull shit and an other thing. The 3 mile range does not exist. There are customers that really checked and are disappointed, me included. I get only a miserable 1000-15000 feet out of the 16000 feet promised. The installer changed antenna, wire and remote with no better range. The Compustar employee told to do so but change. He installed the CD3 in ma 2015 Corolla. So my question is which module do you have in your pickup? Because my installer tested the 7200 by plugging on in the shop and drive around and could get at the most, 2 km (3 miles) only

Marco Polo I have a CM7000 which is a CM7200 with added alarm functions. Also to clarify you have gotten 15,000ft and were disappointed? 94.69% of advertised range.

Johnny Bouldin sorry but sometime I think that my fingers Has Parkinson disease. I meant 1000 to 1500 feet out of the 15840 feet promised only. This is only about 6-9% my installer want to put the 7200. Maybe I’ll get better result but he told me that he tested it by plugging the module in the shop and drove around to get at the most, 2 km or 6600 feet only. Most customers don’t even test their new system because I’m sure there would have more complains. Or it’s a bad batch or it’s not true the three miles.
