High does mostly 60fps on GTX 1080 at 4K. You can even set some on ultra especially on a Ti. GTX 1080 might be great still but the game is super optimized. Love this!

Agreed! After playing a bit more I noticed that my 1080 Ti couldn't always push 60fps at 4K Ultra, especially in the densest areas of the map like the deep jungle. Howerver, on the coast or in the desert, the game runs really well. My recommendations to maintain 60fps would be using Xbox Series X's Performance mode settings that can be found in Digital Foundry latest FH5 video.

not bad for a 1080 TI, planning on getting this game but im not paying ridiculous prices for a RTX card at the moment, so im sticking with my 1080 TI

I'm a 100% with you my man, this card can still push those frames! If you want higher frames, Digital Foundry gave us the Xbox Series X Quality mode settings in their latest video. These are exactly what I now use, playing at a resolution of 3840x2160 even though I only have a 1440p monitor. This game looks and performs great now, jumping between 45 and 60fps.

I upgraded my GTX 970 to 1080 Ti last winter. I just saw that none of the RTX cards was worth the money at this point. I'm so happy of the upgrade. Playing Elden ring 1440p on highest details.

It trades blows with it but the Series X is still more powerful. The 1080 Ti is an aging GPU that NVIDIA's trying to bury so the performance decreases overtime, but overall, it is still a great graphics card in 2021.

@@HaterozHardwareBenchmarks I’m sorry but no I have both , my strix 1080ti that I payed £100 off my mate last year smashes my Xbox series x At Native to native setting Before that I had a strix 980ti i sold to my other mate for £50 I do like the DV on my Xbox series x but it (xbox )can only manage high settings with 4k native @ 30fps when my 1080ti can do ultra settings with 4k native @ 60fps The whole Xbox series x is what 12 TFlops as a whole system The 1080ti Gpu is 11 TFlops by itself lol 😂

@@HaterozHardwareBenchmarks You're wrong. The xbox series x version to run in 4k and 60 fps, in performance mode, suffers heavy cuts to the graphics. It's a mixture of medium and low details, with ridiculous LOD. Which digital foundry has very cleverly hidden.

No, not at all. With everything maxed out + the game installedo n a Gen 4 NMVe SSD, everything runs fine and smooth.

Yes, my card is watercooled. I have a 360m custom loop that goes over my CPU too, so both my components are under water: my CPU temps are really high for a custom loop but since I have those great GPU temps, I don't really mind 'em. By the way, my card runs this low on less intesive games: more often than not, it goes up to 50-52°C :)

how do you record gameplay? GeForce Experience? if yes, then this is still minus 10-15 fps. Remove GeForce Experience and FPS increases significantly!

I record gameplay using GeForce Experience indeed, but I don't notice as much of a drop as you do. Most of the time, it drops by around 2fps, which is negligible + my Windows 10 Pro installation is optimized and very, very light: I only install and run the ESSENTIAL programs in the background and thus, the performance you're seeing here represent the perfect scenario for this card.

@@HaterozHardwareBenchmarks friend you do not understand! the recording process really takes 2-3 fps, but the GeForce Experience itself, regardless of whether it is recording or not, reduces the fps by about 10 fps. you need to remove it completely and leave one driver and then the FPS will increase significantly. GeForce Experience has an extremely negative effect on performance at least on 1080ti, I checked it myself!

It's mostly because it was a very, very powerful card back when it released in march 2017. Now that it's been more than 4 years, the performance have - of course - decreased, but are still at a very satisfying level. With some great tweaking, someone could still enjoy a very good 4K experience: you'll have to *lower the graphics settings* a bit & maybe add a *dynamic resolution scaling (down to ~1800p)* to the mix (that's of course if there's no FSR in said game) and voilà, there you have it!

Yes, all of this was tested on the same monitor. For the 4K resolution I use Nvidia DSR factor set to 2.25x (of 1440p).

Yeah! I'm quite impressed with the results at 4K. Of course I had to turn the settings down to Ultra and use 2x MSAA but the game still looked incredibly sharp & detailed.

Indeed I did not, but it surely doesn't take out the utility of the benchmark since I was running the latest patch available at the time of recording and thus the latest version of the game. Depending on the version you're playing on (cracked or not), you might encounter some performance issues since most of the games today use DRMs to protect hacks. I always try out solo games to see if I'll enjoy them, and if I do, I'll buy it. That's sort of a way to have a "demo" of the game before buying it, and that's what I do.

Well, sicne I wasn't playing online, it wasn't really using the CPU. The game will heavily use ~6-8 cores when in a race against other people though :)
