Overclock 1660 to 2100mhz and 4750 clock- could go to 6k easy but gddr5 makes mistakes and his red dead was lol..avg 62 fps...odyssey 79fps...got 7 fps boost on my msi 1660.. Save overclock is amazing lol.

So interestingly i have been doing ALOT of research on how much VRAM you need and 4Gig Vram is for now the perfect number for anybody getting into gaming at 1080P and this vid just confirms it the cards you should be looking for if new is RX570 4GIG/GTX 970 4G/GTX 980 4G/GTX 1650 Super the other cards in between like the 1060 and RX580 never utilize more then 4gig VRAM Outside of certain titles meaning unless you move to something crazy like a GTX 1080 you won't see huge gains aka 30fps+ in games which makes the GTX 1650 Super the best value for money card out there due to it being vastly better then most gpus only thing is this will differ based on pricing in your country.

I have the 1660 but I there's no an answer for everybody, if you want higher texture quality get the 1660, if you want gddr6 memory which could get better performance in some games just get the 1650 super, however I got my 1660 bc of the extra 2 gb and bc it has better performance in must of the games that are actually on market.

@@ShivamJha00 I would disagree, i could be wrong but from what i see getting the 1660 is worth imo because of the 6gb vram and gddr5 mem. I know it sounds stupid that i mentioned gddr5 mem but the reason to that is that the super series overclock horribly. While the normal series have better overclocking capabilities. I own a gtx 1660 and it ocs like a dream. Max power draw Max temp limit +745 core clock +320 mem clock. That alone gives me 20+ fps in every game except comp games where cpu is needed. My friend has a gtx 1650s he keeps bugging me how he runs rdr2 better. I told him if he's running stock he says no but it doesn't oc very well. So what I'm saying is if you had a choice between the 1650s or 1660 I would spend 30 more dollars for 6gb vram And almost rtx 2060 perf( by almost i mean it's between 1660s and 2060) if overclocked.

Yup. Personally, I think 4gb will be more obsolete in 2021-2022 (for newly released AAA games that is). I have a 1080ti SC (11gb) and gtx 960 SSC (4gb) which I tested Doom Eternal with. Can't play Ultra Nightmare settings on the 960 4gb, because that setting requires at least 6gb of vram. But you can do mostly Ultra settings if you turn on the dynamic resolution setting and get a fluid 60fps at 1080p, which isn't exactly bad. Anyone on a budget would definitely appreciate this and there's still a huge library of games from years back, worth playing today that the 960 4gb would handle well. With the 1080ti sc though, you can go full Ultra Nightmare settings at 1080 and 1440p with very high fps, on a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and 16gb of 3200mhz ram, without a hiccup. The 2060 super (8gb) which is cheaper than a used 1080ti sc, will also give excellent performance at the highest settings. I would reccomend this gpu for 1440p gaming. All in all I think 4gb will survive at least another year before it becomes highly recommended to go for more. Of course it really depends on what the user wants to achieve visually and if their monitor is more than 1080p.

@Seventh Taco Oh yeah, I'm definitely not discounting the fact that many AAA games today can run on a minimum of 2-3 GB of virtual ram, sure. But the question is...do you want to? Me personally, I'm done taking a back seat to minimum requirements. Been doing it that way for at least 6 years. ;D I'd like to enjoy my games at the highest settings possible now. That's why I finally picked up a 1080ti sc. Although I'm seeing now, it wasn't necessary for games like Doom Eternal. I could have saved over $100.00 usd if I just went for the newer 2060 Super 8gb card, which on my Ryzen set up, would have allowed me to run Doom Eternal at Ultra Nightmare settings just the same, at either 1080p or 1440p which is what I prefer today over 4k gaming. (for now) If you're an owner of a 4gb card, like the GTX 960 SSC model, the good news is, you can play Doom Eternal at Ultra settings if you're on a 1080p monitor and fine with a perfect 60fps cap. It still looks visually stunning and of course, using their dynamic resolution setting, is a must to keep those frames consistent. Otherwise they will drop to 30 or so. I just wonder what the GPU market will be like in a year or two as the older models become much more affordable. Like the 1070ti 8gb, is actually a great card to play with today and can be just as good for another couple of years. As long as it's paired with an excellent CPU (like the ryzen 3600 for example) and fast ram. You get a nice gaming system that can do 1440p at smooth high frame rates with many games able to be set to max visual settings. All this talk about GPUs and games is making me thirsty. brb. I think in rdr 2 gtx 1660 have driver issue . because in every case gtx 1660 is faster than gtx 1650 super. On the other hand gtx 1660 is faster than RX 5500xt 8gb in rdr2 . on the other hand gtx 1650 super is slower than a 5 years older card amd r9 nano in rdr 2 I have seen it one of a video.

what are safe temperatures for gpu? it is literally impossible for gpu’s to go beyond 90 degrees celcius... further than that you need a heat gun to overheat it after a long time heating it , the hotter they are , the lower clock speed they work , but mainly over 80-85 degrees... at 90 it decrease by a lot if it tries to go beyond

It's not GTX 1660 Super, it's regular GTX 1660. And because of GDDR6 memory on GTX 1650 Super the performance is better, than on GTX 1660 (GDDR5)
