14日にふたばちゃんに会いに行きました。 ふたばちゃん、ずっと2階に居てなかなか降りて来てくれなかったです😅 ふたばちゃんと呼ぶと気のせいかな、こっちを見てくれました笑 娘はオニオオハシが好きで、肩に乗って貰いたくて、餌で何度か呼んでいましたが、餌だけ食べられて飛んで行きました笑 ショーでは、娘はお手伝いをさせて頂けたので感動していました😌

Poor Futaba is trying to instruct the girl in the proper way to offer her fish, but the girl cannot understand the rhythms of a great lady Shoebill, to quietly kneel down and hold up a fish for Futaba without acting insistent. Futaba likes to regard her food first and then takes her time breaking up the fish to swallow it.

Yes - Futaba definitely has her own little ways and preferences. She’s a lovely creature. I love watching her with the male caretaker (her favorite!!).

I bet she doesn't mind too much. They are solitary creatures who only get together to mate. However, maybe she would like a boyfriend!
