After watching this film for a few more times I have something to share with you all. 1. Some might argue that Monica the mom didn’t have a clue about what’s going on, but I think she wasn’t totally unaware of this therapy robot thing. She was in such tremendous pain that she gave tacit consent to her daughter Emma’s doing, When Emma put the contacts on her, she knew exactly what it’s. The doubtful look on her face the first time she saw her husband's image on that robot confirms this guess. 2. The dual robot kit mentioned in the VRRT ad, I believe, is the latest tech of VRRT that allows up to 2 users to put on the contacts and receive the same image of one robot. But apparently Emma didn't get the dual robot kit, as we can tell that she bought the robot after a sale for last generation product, and in the later film she put on contacts only after her mom rejects it. I feel so sorry for young Emma as she was too young to bear all these burdens, all alone. Apparently she missed her dad so much but still she gave the only pair of contacts to her traumatized mom. This film is so underrated.
