I can't imagine what you would think about where I am. Here, a shower in the morning and another after back to home, every day. If we have a pool or gym during the day, another shower. But what really surprised my foreign co-workers from the US and Europe is that we brush our teeth after lunch in the company bathroom haha.

うちは、お互いのテリトリーの家事はしたくなかったらしなくても良いという事になってましたね。洗濯物も洗いたくなければ洗わなくて良いし(特に服を畳むとか) 食事も作りたくなくなかったら作らないで良いと。 日本人は余程の事がないと怒りませんよね。無闇に感情を表すのは"子供"だと周囲が判断するからかな。怒らなくても相手に伝える事はできるとAnnahさんに言ってあげてw

Definitely cultural differences but after awhile it is personality that causes disagreements. My wife is stubborn just like me but my biggest gripe is she is just so inconsiderate and dang messy...one of the messiest girls I have ever met...yet she cleans up my stuff and complains about it yet doesn't seem to care about her mess...so also hypocritical Very frustrating. Anyways...it is somewhat of a relief to see others dealing with issues too!

Through my experience, here are some keys to success: Stop being stubborn, compromising, apologize when you are wrong and say "Please and Thank you". Think how the other feels as Annah said in this video. Ryoji, do not procrastinate. アメリカの親はParenting、子供に自分の事をやらせるというしつけをする一方で、日本の多くの親は子供の始末はやってしまいますしね。　　アメリカは子供の頃からIndependencyを大事にし育つ一方で日本は周りとの協調性が重要視されますから全く育った環境が違うので、お互いそれらを理解し、妥協することが長く良好な関係を持つ一つの鍵と思います。二人には末永く幸せな家庭を築いてほしい
