The song with a fusion of Chinese folk song and new age music and was composed by German husband is also a musician. The lyric has not particular meaning. It is more about the technique, her comic facial expression and unique sound she created really amazed her audiences. Her unusual style of singing was shocking and entertaining at the same time to the audiences so got her instant popularity (in a fun way).

Music is really an international language. Her analysis is spot on, esp when she talks about the twang, or the children sound
This song doesn't have lyrics, just sounds. It has had a lot of critics over the time. But not many "professional" singers could complete this piece.

This was originally her warm up practice. It has no words and real meaning. Becuase its so technically challenging and entertaining. She started to perform it and became very popular. Everyone in China knows it.
This song is really an one-of-a-kind artpiece. And Gong Lin-Na is undoubtedly a world-class artist. Only she can deliver this performance so well. Incredible. Amazing.

There are a lot of Chinese folk opera singing techniques integrated and demonstrated in this song. Also different styles and characters, such as male, female, young, old, etc. It's fantastic! And she's the only one who can sing all these styles.

As its name, this song describes a person's restless and anxious state of mind, implying their inner anxiety and uncertainty. The lyrics, melody, and emotional expression of the song may convey this feeling. 上 (up) 下 (down) 心 (heart) 心 (heart) =The word "忐忑" can be translated to English as "nervous" or "anxious." It refers to a state of uneasiness or restlessness, often accompanied by a sense of inner turmoil or uncertainty., Chinese words are funy, right? 😁😁

And it's experimental!! What a brilliant performance, this is absolutely epic!! As a perfect example of human voice's extreme
I remember this song got viral because it was super weird. Pretty sure it's gibberish (except for the title.) Defo not Mandarin, at any rate. I actually learned how to "sing" it, because it really is such a fun song to vocalize.
The title of Gong Lina's song is "Tan te," which means an unsettled or anxious state of mind. It is like a musical experiment where the song incorporates elements of Chinese classical opera rhythms, but none of the syllables have actual meanings. Her costume and appearance also imitate Chinese classical opera, but they are not complete. The audience in the audience cannot comprehend this piece of music and simply finds it amusing and perplexing. This song has sparked significant controversy in China. The meaningless lyrics and strange attire led ordinary viewers to perceive it as a comedic act, akin to a clown performance. However, professional singers can discern Gong Lina's exceptional musical skills and admire the concept behind this song.

Gong Linna is formally trained in Being opera at the China Conservatory of Music. Tan Te, which was composed by her husband Lao Lou, is a sampler of Bejing Opera voicing techniques. The song has no lyrics, only vocal sounds chosen to demonstrate the various voicings.

First came across this professional artist from the song Song of Laughters in which she sang with zhou shen. She is popular and good in her ability to rapid singing and changing of pitch. I would say this song entertaing and supposedly artistic. Fun listening. Can see that Coach Rozette makes great effort in finding words to describe her observation. Thank you.

Looks like Rozette does not recognize this singer was the one she reacted to about 2 weeks ago. The song was "Sea of flower", duet with the Japanese singer/dancer.
She is a professional singer with strong China style opera backgrounds. She mixed up several Chinese traditional opera style used for man woman and kid, also young and old and various emotions. Using her voice as musical instruments

she(龔琳娜、龚琳娜)sings and performs to mimic the Jing opera (京劇、京剧), but most of the melody and lyrics (though these words cannot be meaningful sentences...) of the song “Tan Te (忐忑)” comes from elements of Chinese popular songs…… hence, all of these elements turn into a new style of Chinese popular song, by a bizarre but rather amusing way.

There’s no words in this music. It sounded interesting to me but it fascinated the Chinese people so became quite popular years ago. Most people don’t sing it so I Don’t think she has a large fan base but this music certainly made her famous in China. It was just a fad. She can sing in the high range. Chinese people are quite embracing of interesting music that makes people laugh.
The singer is Chinese. This is a funny song. When we listened to this song at the first time, we all laughed out. It is a special song as there are no lyrics at all.
this one surely will blow our mind. looking fwd to it.

This song has quite some meanings/behind the scenes despite having no lyrics at all (technically). 1.The original songwriter/composer (which is Gong Lin Na's husband) wrote this out for her as a compressed practice guideline on her Chinese opera singing. It's a care from her loving husband. 2. The name of the song means "Anxiousness". She aims to create a tension BGM vibe that brings out this feeling. In the "lyrics" there are alot of "A! Oh! Aiyo!" which are commonly used by Chinese (and also quite a bunch of Asians), same usage as "Holy shit! OMG!" 3. They also design the song to be sang just like coach rosette pointed out, mimicking the sounds of alot of instruments used in Chinese opera. The most prominent part is "dai-tak-ke-ti-ke-dai-tak-ke.......", mimicking a drum set sound used in opera, and the drum is mimicking voices of horse running in battlefield. (Quite alot of older Chinese opera have drama scenery about kingdom wars or battle of gods"

This song started the era of parody in China, because no one could understand it. If she were an unknown singer, her career probably just ended at the time, because the performance was given in a big show. However, she was already well known, so the controversy brought her her career to a new stage.

This song is written by the singer's husband - a German. The singer is a Chinese. It has no lyrics. Just an artistic song but very difficult to sing. It would be a challenge for anyone to try this out.
