因為周深才聽到這首歌，在這個視頻有幸看了5位歌手對這首歌的演繹，陳粒是原唱，除了周深的我最喜歡她的演繹，她唱出了這首歌的靈魂，而翻唱我比較喜歡周深的，他的舞台音樂配置簡單，全首歌就靠他的歌聲演唱支撐，這是一個很有藝術性的舞台，讓我著迷了。

I love seeing Rozette on the edge of her seat listening to Zhou Shen's rendition of this song. You can tell her excitement and even a bit nervousness on her face. I think this is exactly the type of song that she's been longing for Zhou Shen to push the envelope of his vocal technique, range, ability, interpretation, execution. As a frequent listener of Zhou Shen's songs, it's one of the rare moments where your heart beats a little faster not knowing if his voice is going make it through. It's the excitement of hearing he pushes his voice near a breaking point to unfamiliar places that makes the song ultimately such an exquisite journey. As Rozette says, he REALLY digs in this time. In my opinion, he painted a vivid and heartbreaking picture of the song's story with his voice along with the dichotomy of the cello and piano, without putting on some exaggerated acting. This is definitely my favorite Zhou Shen's performance.

陈粒在演唱这首歌的时候，是以女性的视角，一个独立女性看到对方把戏。这首歌述说的是男性对女性矛盾的要求，歌词每一句都是矛盾的，要我怎么样，又要我怎么样。比如赐我梦境，却要我很快清醒。其实是一个女性已经把另一半的要求看得很清楚了，一切了然的心境。因为歌词太过矛盾，所以很暗黑与戏剧。从周深的角度，他唱了三个角色，第一个最低的声音就像我们心里住的恶魔，还有一个女性的视角，一个男性的视角。因为歌曲本身的矛盾性，所以周深唱成了这样。戏曲的部分是最出彩的部分，不仅是因为周深唱得很好，更重要的是歌词是对前面所有歌词的回答。最后说：寻，良人，听，拾起你内心的全部，是说找到自己的良配，通俗一些的说是找到彼此相爱与适合的人，拾起内心的全部，意思找回内心自正的自我。这是一种思考，一种顿悟，一种洒脱。陈粒是中国民谣第一女歌手，是特立独行的唱作人，但她并不是最流行的歌手。她的歌以歌词内容见长，喜欢她的人，都是喜欢她歌词所讲的故事，表达的情绪，情感共鸣。

Teacher Rozette gets what Zhou Shen was trying to bring out in this song. He explained that he intentionally only have a piano and a cello as instruments in a way to bring out that dialogue of the inner struggle, and the two opposing voices. The Chinese opera lines refer to how one is broken through such inner struggles but managed to pick up all the pieces.

Thank you so much to the teachers for another great reaction! I learnt a lot yet again listening to the teacher's review of each stage! A year ago I would not have been able to think about how or why I'd like a certain cover or not, or how to appreciate an artist's techniques and interpreation and effort put into a stage/song. Thanks to the teachers, I've been managing to appreciate music more thoughtfully. Zhou Shen's take was my first time listening to this song, so it left such a deep impression upon me. I'm not sure if it was because after so many songs and covers of him I've listened to yet I still got caught off guard by this stage, or if his interpretation of the song was so dramatically impressionable. The first time I heard it, I didn't quite understand it and only thought it seemed very artistic. Yet there was a nagging feeling of there being something caught and tangled, I felt breathless and almost excited when I listen to him, and I had to go back several more times. The raw emotions he put into the song contrasted with the simple yet gorgeous instruments made it all the more stunning. Personally, it reminded me of the feeling I got when I read Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky (my absolute favourite book). It was an opressing, overwhelming feeling of breathlessness, a certain sense of raw despair and agony of being torn in between. I'm not sure if this is what the song is conveying since I don't know the lyrics, but it's what I've felt listening to it.

the traditional Chinese opera lyrics and music part was written by Zhou Shen ( Charlie) : "Seek...that right person Listen...wishing you pick yourself up and make it whole" This feeling of being completed inside and not having to look for self-identity everywhere, not burning or exploding... Whether it's crazy or peaceful, Accept everything about yourself That's the main core of this song Zhou Shen’s understanding and interpretation of songs and lyrics are comprehensive, in-depth and unique.

Hua Chenyu is amazing. I flew from Germany to China last year to experience 2 of his amazing Mars concerts. It was mindblowing. Best concerts I have ever been too. And I was at many concerts from many different artists in my life. His Mars concerts are on another level. His music, especially his own compositions are awesome, interesting and it never gets boring to listen to his music. I am so happy I found Hua Chenyu 5 years ago.

Personally Zhoushen presented the best cover for this song Exactly with what you analysed. Just love the way Zhoushen brought in the Very Spirited Art presentation in the torn spirit within. Zhoushen intentionally lowered his voice from the very beginning and added some wild vocal effects at certain stanzas to bring forth the struggle spirit within. The tune and lyrics in the Beijing Opera melody were inspired composed and added by Zhoushen “Seek! The kind man within you Listen! Hope you pick up all you have lost….. (Meaning be your kind self and not being manipulated around) I love Zhoushen covering BEST! From Singapore.

最喜欢深宝板本，橫跨40多個音符，5個八度。咋舌!他的低音部份很低，很少听到他用這種声線。他這首曲真是個藝術品。我相信很少人能翻唱這首曲。太難了!

Dear Rozette, I am so glad that you like Shenshen too. About the reason Shenshen chose this song, I think he let out the contradictions within himself, he simply cannot please everyone, so at the end of the song, he just turned and walk away, he has come to term with himself, he will do whatever pleases him from now on! That’s just my interpretation from the lyric and the way he expressed his feelings in the song

Wow. It is definitely Hua Chenyu's rendition for me. Such a powerful performance, it is so easy to get drawn into it. Love his strong stage presence and vocals.
