Guangzhou City Centre China Walking Tour (2019) is a video recording of my walk in Guangzhou, China with no talking. I highly recommend using headphones to experience 3D environment sounds as I recorded with binaural microphones.
Filmed using:
Camera: Osmo Pocket - amzn.to/309uju3
Extension Rod: Osmo Pocket Extension Rod - amzn.to/306xnqK
Audio Recorder: Zoom H1N - amzn.to/33TU7LO
Camera Charger: Osmo Pocket Charging Case - amzn.to/2EyQfY3
Editing Software: DaVinci Resolve - amzn.to/3j4ASp5
Guangzhou Tianhe Info:
Tianhe District (Chinese: 天河区) is one of the eleven districts of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province. In Chinese, the name Tianhe literally means "a river in the sky/heavens", which is also a Chinese name for the Milky Way. It is bordered by Yuexiu District on the west, Baiyun District on the north and Huangpu District on the east. Haizhu District is on its south, though they are separated by the Pearl River.
Tianhe became a district in the 1980s as the city expanded its size. Back then, it was east of Dongshan District (which was merged into Yuexiu in 2005) and it was more suburban-like if not rural like. Even though a majority of colleges and universities in the city were located in the district, the rest of the district was mostly composed of rice fields.
Symbolic landmarks of Guangzhou located in Tianhe District are Citic Plaza, Guangzhou International Finance Center, Guangzhou Opera House, and the Guangdong Museum. The 6th and 9th of The National Games of the People's Republic of China and the 2010 Asian Games were also held in Tianhe District, Guangzhou.

I always have a misconception of China but after visited Guangzhou three weeks ago, the beauty of Guangzhou has totally changed my perception. It’s a very modern city enriched with the beauty of past history as well. I gotta say I would definitely go back one day.

Hi friends. This is Alan from Discovery Walking Tours TV. I recently visited the megacity of Guangzhou and I had a real blast recording the sights and sounds. I traveled to many parts of China during the last 2 years and have personally seen the huge changes. I think there is a lot of "misinformation" about how the country is like, and I hope with these videos, people will be more well informed and will be able to see the country for what is it. I used binaural microphones to record the environmental sounds. So if you have a pair of headphones, do use them, it will be quite an immersive experience 😀 If you notice any interesting points in the video or want to ask about something that was caught on camera, comment with a time stamp (eg 00:01) and I will be sure to check it out. I am also interested to know where you are from 😄 so drop a comment below and say hi! If you are keen to see more of Guangzhou, check out my playlist below kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZ_Lgq2hmNCCmtE

@@DySun I use a Hooke Audio binaural microphone. There is no model number. It could maybe just the video, but with the videos I have seen of Guangzhou streets, yes there are still a lot of Cantonese speakers, but it seems like the Mandarin speakers are at least 60%-85%, correct me if I am mistaken. Unless it depends on which areas of Guangzhou. Could it be possible that some parts of Guangzhou are still very Cantonese speaking and the other parts have a Mandarin speaking majority that I do not know of.
