so here's a more optimized way of doing it pick 2 or 3 echoes you want to farm rank them by priority go to the lowest priority echo farm two or three mobs if you don't get an echo switch the tracking into the highest echo priority you want and kill the mob to get the guaranteed echo you want this way even if you get lucky and "waste your echo pity" your not wasting it on some random echo you don't want.

That sounds incredibly time inefficient given you're unlikely to run out of every element-relevant echo to farm unless you're playing A LOT. I can't imagine you save much if any time in the grand scheme of things swapping your tracking around like that basically every other pack of enemies- since most 1-cost echo mobs spawn in groups of 3-4 and you can generally get non-tracked types on the way too. And if you want to farm 3-cost echo mobs, just hop into other people's worlds. You'll also just naturally finish your database farming echoes like this anyways. I've had 208/208 for a few days now and still have plenty more to farm before even one character is done.

Tip for dreamless: You can fight her low level version if you're not going to spent plates on her. The lower level version dies quickly and has the same chance for an echo

In short, aside from maxing out your databank early as a newer player. This mechanic is a GODSEND if you're goal is to farm 5star echoes with "god roll" stats much faster than just roaming around the overworld. Not that game breaking, but sure is helpful so you can have lots of good 5star echo sets for future resonators or for swapping out.

For farming the 3-cost elites, if you REALLY want to minmax on daily basis, because there is a finite amount of enemies that spawn per day. Pick three elites in order of your priority. call them priority 1, 2 and 3. start with killing two of your #2 choice. if no drop, move to your #1 choice and kill til a drop. if any #2 drop in your first two kills, repeat the step except with your #3 choice, i.e. if no drop in 2 kills, move to your #1. if you get a #3 drop, go back to building pity on #2. that way you can save your finite amount of #1 priority elites to near-guaranteed drops.

After you farmed a lot, you can fuse lower class echos and you may get legend or higher grade echos you don't have.

So, essentially, don’t change your play-style at all (only farm elite units you mostly want); except for when you’ve already killed 3 in a row without getting an echo - then, on the 4th one, make sure to fight an echo of a creature you want.

wow this really will be game changing... i have reach data bank 20 but i am only lvl 35 so i am technically data bank 18 i think. and now i will be able to farm any echo and legit get gold drops and maybe start to get the right main stats for my echos. if anyone wants to know how to get data bank fast i think mtashed covered it recently, all you need to do is go open the data bank page and scroll through the enemies you have caught and make sure to farm the blue and purple enemies on that list so that way when you get a higher ranking echo it applys to that catalog and you gain experience... literally just farm the blue ones because if u already have a high data bank then you will be guaranteed to get a purple drop and gain experience

I knew about the strangely high rate (pity) of overlord bosses, and actually already used it since monday (when the first people reported too high rates on echoes). However actually using it on Elites sounds like a lot of pain, counting, teleporting back and forth, and remembering locations of how much elite mobs of a certain kind are at a specific spot of the map. It makes your overall rate of farming just slower and unless you completely farm your own world empty it's a net-negative time investment in comparison. And even you empty your world it's better to just join a friend and farm with them.

For dreamless, just spam the lower level one for the pity and you'll get the echo. It's much easier than rotating, but it WILL rotate with the turtle so you can kill the weak dreamless and then fight the turtle if you need that one

FYI and this is confirmed by myself that this guranteed drop is seperated by each class in which for example you kill an overlord boss and didnt drop so the next OVERLORD will be guranteed. This applies to calamity too and for elite and common it seems that they require more than 2 (around 4-5 of not getting) echoes to gurantee it
