if ya got pc, you can try it out on yuzu emulator. you can find tutorial on youtube. i recommend to use decent pc for it, cause its kinda laggy on mine.

Btw if you hear the shiny sound effect save the game immediately. If you close the game the Pokémon will still be shiny

Outbreaks and respawning are probably going to be hella exploitable. Ex. Outbreak , save, 15 catches, no shiny, reset, repeat till shiny, save.

NOTE: In mass outbreak every spawns is already predetermined, means resetting the game wont help much. and if there are more than 1 outbreak in different areas, save first in the village before proceeding on each one 😊

I was not progressing with the story in the beginning to try to find a shiny and after like 18hrs of looking I gave up and moved on to the story and just my luck as I was going to the next location randomly found a shiny roselia, I didn’t even have a roselia yet, I was so happy!! Non stop cheers

I've not caught many shiny Alpha Pokemon yet, but I got a shiny Rapidash in a massive mass outbreak the other day, it's probably one of the biggest alpha pokemon I have seen, it's huge! I have got nearly two boxes full of regular shinies though, the highest amount caught was 9 in one evening!

What I like doing is going back and forth between the village and a location until I get a mass outbreak of a Pokémon with a shiny I know I like, then if I don’t get a shiny from the outbreak I just leave and return to the village, then keep going back and forth again until I get another outbreak I want to go for. I also like flying over the maps with braviary just looking for shinies that way, it’s super chill.

i think gamefreak did a great job with the sound tbh. Although pokemon lets go also had that feature, the sound when there's a shiny nearby sounds as if you are rewarded and warned that there is a shiny near you.
