I never ignored Calvina. Both her story and Touya's are captivating. Touya is living a normal, unassuming life when his ticket to a world of adventure literally crashed into him. Despite his initial reluctance (and incessant whining), he eventually gets used to and grows fond of his situation while finding out the truth behind his mysterious past and who he really is. Calvina on the other hand is a former ace who seemed to have everything set. A great job, a loving boyfriend, and an overall comfortable lifestyle. Then everything turned upside down when her workplace was raided by a group she didn't even know, killing all of her friends and family and traumatizing her. She became aloof, broken and professional as a result, vowing never to jump back into the cockpit. Fate had other plans though, and she soon found herself back in the pilot's seat of a alien prototype in order to find out what exactly happened that day and if she had a chance at truly living life once more. Touya isn't really normal when you consider who his father is... Regardless, Calvina's past is much more tragic for good reason. Though Touya could have some real tragic stuff if they showcase his father saving the power puff girls. Hell, maybe even tie Calvina and Touya closer by having Touya's father be the one that causes Al-Vn to spare Calvina by fighting him on the moon which in turn allows the power puff girls to escape to Earth with their 3 mecha and thus meeting Touya.

Richard Shiflett Well, as close to normal as you can possibly get for someone who has half of the oldest race in the solar system's blood. He lived a pretty normal life for the most part and didn't learn of his heritage until the events of the game. But yeah Calvina's story is more tragic for a reason. They show two different archetypes of mecha pilots. Touya is the somewhat (okay REALLY) whiny and angsty untrained pilot who somehow can outmaneuver veterans ala Kira Yamato style. Calvina is the ace with the icy atmosphere, kind of like Rei Ayanami who deals with past trauma while looking towards a new future.

+Anyo Gambito well, considering this is her themesong after she regains the will to live on and protect her new friends and loved ones, Thats kind of the point. Revenger was more bleak because early game calvina just wants to die on the battlefield.

Enjoyed Calvina's route much more than Touya. I think it's because it's hard to find a female lead that's a BAMF who isn't there just for fan service or needs rescueing.

I would prefer they all get one of the mecha's and let Touya be interchangeable between them. Festina in the Coustwell, Melua in Granteed, and Katie in the Bellzelute. Calvina can be in a heavily modified Vorlent. They can change it that her test mecha wasn't destroyed and she escaped in it before passing out.

I doubt they'll do that since Al-Van dying means nothing when it comes to upgrade. He only needs to be defeated, besides she has enough rage since she wants revenge and later she figures out that Al-Van was forced to do horrible things and was locked away when he finally rebelled. Course a cell can't hold Al-Van since he returns in time with his Boss Stats Raftclanz. Yes the Moon Cradle exists, they an work it that the Furies have infiltrated it for the longest time. I expect cameos of them.

Point taken. On the other hand, i wonder if the Cytron girls will be interchangable (Or however that'sspelled) or not. J's final boss looked kinda bad for some reason, probably that the GBA can't capture it's image, i mean... It's arms can grab combattler for f's sake. You may say that's stilistic, and if i had mentioned the nadesico or the archangel, i'd agree, but it probably IS that big. Oh, J... If you had an updated neo getter you'd be perfect.

That's because his role was the antagonist version of A where he was defeated/killed sine they chose the Lamia route. This upset fans so in the remake that made Evil Axel turn into Axel route Axel from A personality wise. I don't use skype sorry, though this is a interesting convo. Well Calvina was an Ace pilot before she quit the military, she can show up as that or even in her test mecha if the next game is months after.

I do hope we get J in the next round of OGs. Toss in Calvina with Bellzelute, Touya with Granteed, let the slave girls rotate between the robots or even put one with another new character piloting Coustwell, and you've got a solid new team right there.

Yes, Calvina will get her own branch at the start with her apparently fighting against Al-Van (of course). And considering how SRW OG games go, I'm sure Calvina will get plenty of focus since OG games tend to jump around with which characters get the spotlight.

+Wissenschaft Overall, Calvina got a good bit of focus, but they just kept shoving the fact Toyua was the main character in everyone's face every few missions. At least they still did give her alternative attacks with the girls too. +Luciano Neumann I don't know who that is, but maybe someday. I'm still hoping they show Perfectio's 'true' body someday, since he mentioned the form shown so far is just a 'branch' of him. And for Tekkaman Blade to appear in voiced game

Eh, we aren't talking about politics or anything or shipping wars so it's only natural we aren't yelling at each other. Anyway, they can do a lot of things with Calvina's test mecha since it was never shown. I'm guessing that's why Banpresto didn't do it, so they have a back up plan for when J gets in the OG verse. Combination attacks would be nice, didn't think of them.

I wish one could play with both at the same time. Toya in Granteed and Calvina in Bellzelute. Vorlent was boring to play with. Getting to cleave everything with a giant sword after the upgrade to Rafclans doesn't fully make up for that.

I still say SRW J > Most of the new NDS's. I mean The amount of variations you could have with the outcomes of how you're Originals will turn out every play through seems endless and it's always exciting to see what you get in the second latter of the game....Adding in that special 4th original just makes the replay value loop to infinite imo.

@SazukeEX1 - I honestly don't understand why Calvina doesn't get more love. I mean, if more Ibis (who's pretty well represented...but not a great deal) and Calvina got more coverage, I'd be a happy man for SRW...no matter how the rest of the series was handled.

J isn't in the next OG game so they didn't. If anything Calvina has a high chance of a cameo since she served in the military and was an ace before she retired to be with Al-Van because he asked her to. Touya has a very unlikely chance of appearing at all since he's in school and doesn't get a mecha til J starts.

Now that i think of it, doesn't the moon cradle exist in OG? We finally get to see it's inside on the OG verse before fighting the fury. Wonder about Sanger's reaction to the orgone sword F mode. (It's this: "MY COLLOSAL BLADE IS THE ULTIMATE WEAPON! I CHALLENGE YOU, SWORD OF THE FURY!"

Well, they DID kill (But ressurected later) a main character before (Axel), so it's a 30/70or 20/80 thing, so let's not worry over that too much. That would work pretty well, actually. My only complaint over that is that the vorlent... just isn't an awfully good mech (Then again, you said it's a vorlet costom.) That, and there is aways the chance of an OG, OG character to make it possible that you can use the big 3 at the same time for... Wait a minute, with the three(Or even just two!) of the Cytron mechs together at the same time means... Combination atacks... Wierd thing such an lengthy youtube discussion isn't a flame war.

Would say Genesis but that place seems dead and doesn't allow new registers He was changed very drastically, thy took out everything that fans hated and made him more of a good guy. Instead of hating on Lamia he admires her resolve to become human and saves her from death by rebooting her. R's fine, don't like time travel

It would be understandable in OG Gaiden though. What are your toghts on SRW R? Exept for J, it's prooving my GBA favourite, thanks to neo getter. While controversial, i prefer neo over shin for some reason.
