I have no more friends at all for quite long now. There are acquaintances but not really a good circle of friends. In my times of troubles and sufferings may be because of my job, my relationship and many shortcomings, I am always crying alone, though I know God is with me, but really I don't have a good human friend to confide in and talk to. I always talk to myself, to God. And then I realized that God has given me a best friend since I was conceived. My guardian angel, my invisible best friend whom I know never left me alone. He helped me strengthen after my cries of desperation and pain. He protected and guarded me in all dangers that came into my life. I was so grateful when I realized this. Indeed, I am not alone as I used to think before. No one knows my shortcomings, my pains, my joys and dreams but God and my Guardian Angel. Thank you so Lord Jesus, Mama Mary and all the Angels and Saints in heaven, all the heavenly family who keeped praying for me, my family and for the world🙏🙏🙏

I have been a "renegade Catholic" for decades so I don't feel very qualified to talk about anything about faith. But I have a tiny TINY little story and I sort of feel compelled to write it out. I'm so sorry if it's disappointing. They said our guardian angel "sweats the small stuff" ... here is a little thing to share. The day before yesterday, I was cleaning my bathroom with a tiny piece of equipment - specifically, a tiny sponge about the size of 2 matchboxes on top of each other. The sponge is specially made to dissolve water scale and I was using it to clean a big pane of glass with literally 10 years of built-up water stains. It does work, but it takes a lot of time and energy. So I was standing there, scrubbing and scrubbing like a woman possessed. The stains were really stubborn and I was kind of mad at them, so I got a little obsessive. I must have been rubbing away for about 2 hours ... suddenly a thought came to me, "Well, my arm is gonna be sore for days from this, and so are my hips (I was kneeling and squatting and changing positions). I'm really going to regret this ..." I am not a young person and I know I am physically unfit, so this was just my brain warning me. Still, for some reason I wanted to carry on working just a bit more. I think it's just stubbornness or inertia - like you are already full but you keep on eating for no particular reason ... Then somehow it occurred to me to say to my Guardian Angel, "Dear GA, if I am injuring myself without knowing it, please protect me." Meanwhile I had no real intention to stop. I guess the water stains were really getting into my head. Literally 2 seconds later the sponge jumped out of my hand, bounced off the pane of glass at a weird angle, bounced off one or two more things and made a perfect landing in the toilet bowl. "Well, the decision has been made for me then," was what I thought. After a couple of hours my arm started to hurt - bad muscle fatigue. I thought, oh dear, here it comes. I was so stupid, why didn't I stop earlier? This is gonna be hell for 2 days judging by experience. However, I inexplicably felt that my angel had actually responded by taking away my equipment and making sure that I couldn't use it again. I thanked him for interfering. The next day, my arm was completely fine, my hips my legs, all fine. Something in me tells me this is NOT how my body normally behaves. Actually, this part is a little hard to understand. I still don't know why I am not hurting. I'm sorry this is such a silly little episode - nothing much really happened. What I really want to share though is that if you believe in your guardian angel, I think it's okay to ask for his help in the TINIEST, MOST MUNDANE stuff in life, such as cleaning your bathroom, mowing the lawn, cooking a meal, picking up your kids, etc. I think it's good to tell him that we don't know what's best for us, or we can be absent minded, or distracted, or (like me) just plain stupid, and end up in a soup. It's okay to ask him please to keep an eye on us when we are going about our chores. Our angel will help us. He really will. Sorry again if you have read up to here and find it not very helpful at all. God bless you all.

Hello Fr. Chris. This video really touched me. A few years ago I taught CCD classes at my church. I am surprised that none of the children in my third and fourth grade classes knew how to make the sign of the cross or their basic prayers let alone the Guardian Angel prayer. Each week I would start the class with a basic prayer and the Guardian Angel prayer. At the end of class I had them pray the act of contrition and the Guardian Angel prayer and I would tell them, "There, you have said your bedtime prayers. Now you are read to go to bed." The children grew to love the Guardian Angel prayer. When I asked who wanted to lead the prayer that night hands would fly up and excited voices would start calling out, "Me, me." It gave me such joy to see their enthusiasm.

I want to know how to get close to my Guardian angel. I talk to him everyday. During times of distraction when I pray the Rosary, I ask him to pray with me. I have sent him on missions to help other Guardian Angels about something I may have seen on TV which is dear to my heart. Anyway I’ve done all this and don’t feel close at all. I know he never leaves my side, so why can’t I feel something? I had the best parents, relatives and saintly nuns who taught me from Elementary School, High School and College. It’s interesting that, in hindsight, I recall twice in my life, when my guardian angel seemingly was sleeping when I literally stumbled and sustained injuries in one of the events. However, both events were indeed, life-changing, I recovered 100% and I was blessed to come out on the other side of them, and appreciate the good that came from them. May God bless my guardian angel. I offered my holy Eucharist for my angel this morning. (Friday) and thanked my angel for caring for me during Adoration. The proposed number of Angels is mind-boggling.
