The reason that Tetsuo and Leadership look eerily similar (even when accounting for the similar subject material) is because they're also by the same artist (Jeff Lee Johnson). Anyway, you missed one of the "not just good, but GREAT" aspects of Tetsuo, which is his subtitle. No matter how many campaigns you play with him, saying that he was "Too Noble for His Own Good" when he gets defeated never gets old.

Nice roundup! The best use case for leadership 0 is the untamed wild’s first agenda flip, where you test v poison; your mystic or survivor shrugs, your rogue pales, and then your guardian declares “you can never fail under my leadership” the way Bryn always says when he plays it.

For me that's any card with artwork by Derek D. Edgell. That bad Pixar-wannabe-art always almost let me vomit. First Aid on the other hand is the type of art, I would like to see a bit more in a modern horror themed game.

Tetsuo is super versatile. I remember when Brother Xavier, True Grit, and Something Worth Fighting For were the main ways to take damage/horror from other investigators at your location. Tetsuo does that for 0 XP and at searches anyone at your location's deck/discard. There's basically no situation when he isn't good.

About 6:10 A defeated asset is placed on top of the discard pile, a specific wording that is also used for things like playing events and committing cards. So I would say an asset being defeated doesn't trigger this.

Medical student is especially good on Leo decks, since it only costs him one resource and no action to play it, assuming you have charisma to shuffle those around. It may also heal a beat cop 2 for one extra ping if necessary. Else, I find it hard to justify as a tech card. You'd likely have more efficient healing, assuming you use your ally slot for something else. If you have charisma and you're not an ally based character, it means you have enough xp to get more healing from another source. Stand together (0) is 4 ressource total, so of course you'd run it instead of E.cache if you can (you only run one E.cache in guardian to soften the xp requirement when you buy STTP & ever vigilant). Most guardians do not need much resources to get going (one weapon and one ally). Best priority upgrade in guardian imo after Beat cop. Stand together (3) 4 cards advantage for 3 exp insane value (baseline is more like 2xp = one action). Leadership (2) is one of the best skill card in the game, assuming you can afford the opportunity cost. 4 resources for 0 actions/one card and 3 icons to a skill test is insane value. Especially if you play with some mystics, which makes it even easier to use and abuse (your local mystic will love you for the resources). Empty vessel is the kind of luxury upgrade that can be cool in some campaigns and less in some others (scales better when there are a lot of symbol tokens of the bag, and in hard+ difficulty). It's pretty solid as it goes, but you'd likely not get it until your core assets are upgraded, which is more or less 6th or 7th scenario onward depending on you are successful. Sweeping kick is amazing no matter the way you look at it, 3 actions (2 damages & evade) for an almost auto-succeed skill test with 0 requirement asset-wise. It's basically an auto-include in all event based decks that can get it and sometimes, it's even good in more conventional decks as one of, depending if the campaign requires some evade tech or not.

I've only played the jellyfish egg with Winifred because it synergizes with her ability. Hearing Bryn talk about it so much makes me wanna try it in another investigator. Who would you recommend? (I only have the core set, dunwich, and the dream eaters investigators)

Man, I played enchanted armor in a Lily deck in return to circle undone. First purchase with XP. I prevented 1 point of damage/horror through the entire campaign... 💀

First aid and madical student are sh*t, imho. Brand, leadership, sweeping kick and stand together are great. Tetsuo was a real suprise for me when i builded Tommy muldoon deck for Tcu on expert difficulty. This ally worked like a charm and performed much more better then prepare for the worst card

Hey random rules question for you guys. If a card has that little * next to its name, does that mean you can only have one copy of that card in play? Or that ALL players can collectively have only 1 copy in play? Basically can two players have Tetsuo Mori out at the same time?

I could be wrong, but I think that means that there can only be one in the play area, period, between all players. Like MtG's old legendary rules.
