Fiery Senate exchange as Pauline Hanson calls for section 44 investigation of Fatima Payman

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has attempted to refer independent senator Fatima Payman for an investigation over an alleged section 44 citizenship issue.

Payman was born in Afghanistan and Hanson claims she hasn’t provided enough documents to prove she had revoked that citizenship. The Greens and Lidia Thorpe vote no and Thorpe can be heard making remarks as the tellers count the votes. 'I kept on giving you the benefit of the doubt, Senator Hanson, despite your repetitive attempts to be racist to anyone who does not look like you,' Payman says, but is then forced to withdraw the comment after Hanson objects
