Its not super easy.....there is an exercise in acting where you are giving one line, the same as "I am Groot". And you had to act out a scene saying only that line, it helps build skill in inflection. And doubtful, they used rerecordings, as each scene of saying "I am Groot" had a different inflection upon it, requiring Vin, as seen in clip, to act the scene while saying the line.

Mantis is a badass character which unfortunately wasn't fully developed here it seems. Not only is she the daughter of the super villain Libra. She is also a master in hand-to-hand combat. She has never lost a fight except maybe to her father. She also has the ability of astral projection. She can project herself anywhere in the universe that has plant life. That's a pretty useful ability when you're trying to find a planet that's inhabitable. That's in addition to her cognitive and telepathic abilities. So it's a bit of an insult. To be reduced to insults over her appearance. A bit of a misstep but overall good effort here.
