Best part is that the "clerk" is actually the chairman, who for some reason labelled himself the clerk. The actual clerk is Jackie Weaver, the woman who kicked him out. I sat on a Parish Council for 2 years in the North of England. I resigned after realising they serve no purpose whatsoever anymore. They have no authority to do anything. It's just a group of very old cantankerous people passing time on the way to the cemetery. That said, we never had a meeting like this one.
