@@dudeyfeb88coach short term thinking. Invest in your population and industry. More money spent on education = higher skilled workforce down the line. Money invested into creating British energy = less reliant on other countries resources. Money invested into owning the railways = people able to accept opportunities not possible in local area without the train costing an arm and a leg to get there, if it even leaves in the first place. Money invested into policing = safer communities with private investors more willing to put money into deprived areas. Money invested into NHS preventative care = saves money on more expensive care down the line. It's short term austerity thinking that has led us to the mess we're currently in. Happy to pay higher tax if it means we get a functioning country back.
