I loved those beautiful historic looking buildings you showed! I just put up some vids of my trip to Guate too, but we didn’t spend much time in the City...now I wish we had! Looks fun! We pretty much got off the plane, got our rental car and started driving to the country. I wouldn’t recommend driving there though 😅 not for the faint of heart. Great vid man! All the food you ate looks delicious! And I’m shocked a motorcycle was only $100 usd there!

Tiene muchas calles para caminar, es interesante y bonito. La arena es color negro debido a los volcanes y la temperatura se mantiene en los 32 grados centígrados día y noche.

Y que ha crecido tanto que se traslado a otras instalaciones muchos más amplias y con 1700 alumnos, ahora este edificio es un museo arquidiocesano y educativo del Colegio, allí está la primera estatua de Cristóbal Colón que llegó a Centro América. Thank you for your nice video. Please note that the history of the marimba is quite controversial. The concept was probably inspired in concepts that existed in Africa and Asia. So yes, more likely than not, there is African influence in it. Similar concepts were developed through history in multiple societies so yes, many can take some credit for this instrument. Many musicians, however, argue that the marimba itself is a different instrument than those that inspired it. The analogy would be, of course, the guitar took concepts which probably started by someone plucking strings in a primitive instrument (probably similar to a bow), but that does not mean, the guitar is the same instrument. Respected historians argue that the marimba, as it was implemented in Mesoamerica centuries ago, differ from other instruments of that time in significant ways. Two of the main differences I remember are the ability to play the types of songs and notes (for example those based on diatonic scales) as the ones we use today and second its capability of being heard by large crowds or big venues (raised from the floor with resonance chambers beneath).

Who told you that Guatemala doesn't have a national dish? Did you assume that or someone told you? It's not true, Guatemala has many national dishes in fact. And you see many kitchens as you call them, that's because Guatemalans like to eat all the time, and what those sites sell for eating are the national dishes. Pepian is one of them, tamales chuchitos, enchiladas, tostadas, rellenitos de platano, tacos. patitas de cerdo a la vinagreta, y un montón más de deliciosa comida.
