Muchas Gracias Walter

Started watching your videos because we are retiring in 6 months and plan to travel from Mexico to Argentina over several years. We are cool weather lovers so we have 10-12 cool weather cities we want to live in before deciding, and Xela is on our list. Thanks for the great video !

Sounds like a weird encounter - that family awkwardly watching you. I’m sure they were just perplexed by the “tourists” with the video camera, though? Man, this video’s a lot more chilly than I was expecting for a “hot springs” video, burrr! The clouds are amazing. Good call not droning in ‘em! ❤️
@JourneywithJenandDrew2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was a bit awkward! We thought it might be best if we just headed to another hotspring 😂 And yes! It was so chilly! Our body was so confused when we went from Xela to Texas and suddenly walked into summer! 😂

That is such a beautiful spot... so lush! Do you guys know what makes the water green? Is it a mineral content or algae?? I'm getting cold just watching you guys LOL. We did the "hot" springs in Budapest... had a similar experience.. cold. just cold. lol
@JourneywithJenandDrew2 жыл бұрын
No, we have no idea! In other's pictures & videos it was not that green...🤷🏼♀️😂 Oh Wow I bet Budapest hot springs would be amazing minus the cold 😆
@IfWeGoTo2 жыл бұрын
@@JourneywithJenandDrew Hahahaha, well I hope it was just the volcanic/rock minerals. Idk if I would've been brave enough to get into water that green. They're really cool to check out! Some are very ornate... though I think the jungle paradise is even better!! (Minus the cold...lol)

The color and smell of the water are due to the fact that it contains sulfur from the volcano, sulfur water has many therapeutic properties, although it has four that are exclusive within the set of mineral-medicinal waters: it is hematopoietic, liver detoxifying, antioxidant and revitalizing 🇬🇹👳
