16 (for me) is too early for those kind of memories, I was still in high school (waste of time) and trying to exist in a toxic home with 2 semi-crazy parents. Being young in your prime years (during the 70's) and on your own are much better memories.

Anne Mae Bullock born into a poor sharecroppers family in rural Tennessee. Tina flew high and far from those humble beginnings. Through her tumultuous young career with Ike and his abuse. Persevering throughout her Phil Spectre management controlled existence to reach freedom musically around 1980. Tina at 40 was ready to finally show the world what she was all about. She was due some respect and admiration. The world obliged as did many fellow artists at the time. Grammy awards, critical praise and Hollywood all awarded her with deserving project's. She nailed them all. Outstanding live performances that when touring left fan's screaming for more. Worldwide success had finally come her way and she loved the work. In 2021 a new member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She's long since retired from public life and has lived in Switzerland for many years.

I wish I could find more music like this --in particular: desolate, strong bass guitar, various instrumentation/synth timbres, saxophone and a strong singer.

Im proud that im 80's era! Discos everywhere! Im 54 now! This song never gets old. Tina at her best. The new Mad Max was great, but not on the same level as Mel with his dark humor and mystery.

Fury Road was a brilliant film with great performances by all concerned. Visually stunning. But to an 80s teenager there'll only ever be 1 Road Warrior; The Mad but Mighty Max; Mel Gibson.

This just got me going at 850 am. I miss my youth. 80s music has a very distinct sound and I love it.

Just listening to this and I was suddenly back in 85 again. Though I wasn't much of a fan of Tina Turner, I loved this song and loved the Mad Max films.

I think Tina Turner made her greatest moment, unless you see her in concert, she has it and and she own’s it. The bomb, you are it Tina Turner.

As society is declining, so is the quality of music. '80s was a great period for music creativity. Beautiful song by the wonderfully talented Tina Turner.
@dreadpirateroberts48833 жыл бұрын
You are stone cold correct, sir! Music has not advanced past the 80's. Not in content, recording quality, instrumentation. Digitization has created myriad efficiency boosts, but the content has suffered greatly. Everything is now a dance mix, techno club fodder, or some rap genre milieu.

I lament now for not realizing how great this time period was. I would have danced, sang and cared a lot then I did.
