What people gotta understand is that when Gucci came home he signed a Distribution through Atlantic for his own 1017 label. So basically they gave him a budget to sign artists, and help them flourish. Being that Gucci core fanbase is the streets, he mainly gonna sign artist who attract that same audience. But the problem is not every artist is gonna have that crossover success as Gucci, most hood artists only make it so far, then their buzz dies down. So it’s not Gucci’s fault if the artists don’t make it, they just couldn’t capitalize off their buzz enough in time to reach past a street audience, and grab the attention of the masses. So I get it, at the end of the day it’s all business.
