Long time ago, Waseem Akram spotted in liberty Market, Gulberg Lahore, and people started getting autographs. I tried that too, but there were so many people, and I could not get close to him. I was holding a transperent shopping bag with some vegetables in it. I gave up and moved away from him. When I was standing on a grassy hilly area, I didn't know how he saw me. He looked at me and called me to give me the autograph. Wonderful human being.

I remember I was 13 when Tendulkar debuted in 1989 and I hated Wasim and Waqar for not letting us win. Gradually Wasim became one of my cricket idol alongside Sachin and now I follow him more as an expert than anyone else. After seeing his emotions, now I love him as a human as well. Wasim Akram is a true gem. I have never met anyone quite like him. I remember a One Day match between India and Pakistan in Adelaide in February 2014. The next day, Wasim was flying from Adelaide to Melbourne. Throughout the entire journey, he was constantly being harassed by people who wanted to take selfies with him. Despite this, he did not refuse anyone's request for a picture. I felt embarrassed by how people were treating him. When we were about to get off the plane, I asked him for a selfie. He was such a humble gentleman and replied, "Of course, you can take one too." I was amazed by how down-to-earth and approachable he is. Tusi great ho Bhai ji!

I can relate to Wassim Bhai. I lost my mother just like that. The doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. Changed 4 hospitals in 2 weeks but nothing could save her 😢. I miss her alot
