Actually, Kohli appealed for the ball which dinesh karnik faced, as it was full-toss and above waist height, eventually kohli faced a similar delivery a ball after, hence he again asked for it being a no ball. If the umpire would have taken a review for the ball which DK faced, then India would have got a no-ball earlier than the one which was given to Kohli.

I think everyone is missing one important point here. Nawaz already bowled a above waist ball to Dinesh in that same over but he was out of crease so not considered as no ball. Again ball to Kohli was above waist and he was standing on the crease. May be ball was going down but umpires didn't consider that bcoz Nawas had already bowled a above waist ball to Dinesh.

Harris Rauf might be good bowler but not a great bowler (e.g. Akram). If you compare Rauf vs Bhuvi or Arshadip without pace, you will know the skill level. Rauf has pace so depends on pace but Indian bowlers are more skilful

Agree that Pakistan played really well and were in winning position many times but the match had many turns which could have gone either way just like the toss. Umpire did not make the signal right away because he was waiting if the fielder catches it or not. Because if the fielder catches the ball in such scenarios, the decision rests with the third umpire. If the batter is not caught then it is the call of the on-field umpire. It might not be the law but it is a commonly accepted convention. In IPL there was a similar case with Rovman Powell.

Umpire decision is last decision such decisions from a human eye can't be 100 percent accurate always so umpire didn't do anything wrong .... There is review system available for this situation only if pakistani players were not satisfied they should have taken review ... When axar patel was stumped out that was also 50-50 decision it was not clear no indians started making that an issue.... These things are just excuses after losing

Pakistan panicked in last 2 overs and Virat will pounce on such occasions. Pakistan should never have lost this match, this match will play in their mindset all through this tournament. It was not a no ball, it was somewhat marginal and could have gone either way but generally these aren't called no balls traditionally. If Kohli was upright it would have been below his waist and based on the projection that would have gone on to hit the bails IMO. Tough luck for Pakistan but fantastic game. There was also a controversial judgement by umpire in axar's run out. See how rizwan collected the ball behind stumps not in front of stumps and then ball bounced off and knock off a stump? Lol, ball can not have enough force to knock off stump while stumps are in opposite directions instead of the direction in which ball was thrown. So yeah, what actually happened was the moment rizwans hand hit stumps, ball also hit the stump and it looked like ball hit the stump first. So such judgements happen in high voltage matches.

My 2 observations: 1. Yes the no ball in final over was debatable. Generally the benefit of doubt in such scenarios is given in favor of bowlers. Looked marginal. And when front foot no balls are checked without wickets being fallen even in test cricket, this side no ball should have also been referred ideally. Not sure it would have impacted result though. 2. The panel should also discuss and highlight then axar run out. That also looked controversial. And for some strange reason third umpire gave the decision in hurry. That was also a big moment in the match. Axar could have played the role with the bat what Nawaz did in Asia cup. Rizwan didn't even celebrate and it did appear ball was not in contact when stumps were broken.. So in the end in close games such as these, things balance out.. that six off no ball, even the fielder could have done better to deflect the ball inside the boundary. In this game there were many such moments. You cannot pin point one such moment for win and loss analysis.

It needed to be looked from stumps angle as well which 3rd umpire didn't even do. If it was a big wicket like rohit sharma or virat , a lot of discussion would have happened. @@nishant7334 ok according to you I am bias. But you don't understand my point as we are saying it should have been checked by the third umpire. Acuracy increases with technology . axar was checked by third umpire, there were more chances of him being out .

@@azizqureshi6105 Yes your point is right Aziz. But in this whole scenario what is the mistake of the Indian team? Why are your Pakistani fellow citizens saying the India team cheated and won. It was a complete stunning show by India in the last 3 overs. Rather than saying that India cheated, say that it was the umpire's fault and even without that India turned out to be a better team. What is the harm in accepting that?
