While Jasmine Grandiflorum tries its best (in a lazy, uninvolved sort of way), it fails to impress. On my skin, it reminds me of Souffle de Lumière and Embruns d'Ylang, both far more beautiful and more interesting scents than this overpriced grab for money. Vanille Planifolia, on the other hand is a dark, leathery, bitter vanilla, with natural green, boozy and floral facets that, in its drydown, reminds me of LUI, a unique scent from Guerlain, now discontinued.
