@@lavkilla also the region of living defines the shape of vision. Thoma has Inazuma's shape vision, Albedo - Mondstadt's. Kaeya's vision is similar to Mondstadt's, but has 2 "wings" instead of 3 as usual.

Think of region as the region they obtained their visions. Albedo and Kaeya have Mondstadt style visions, and Thoma has an Inazuma style vision.

The character's location is based on where they live. Albedo and Kaeya live in Mondstadt, as well as Thoma for Inazuma. That's why Childe had a Shezhnaya shape, it's because even tho we saw him in Liyue, he still lives in Shezhnaya.
