SPM results is not everything, but how disciplined you are when u study does carry over to University and subsequently carries over to work ethics. But of course, even if u did not do well in SPM, you can still do well in Uni and foster good habits.

To improve the video in the future Maybe you can add the peoples age. Also keep the bar with what people voted/expected results up longer so people are able to compare better expected with actual results. Great video though!!

Tldr Spm result does affect your future income. BUT, ur future income does not solely rely on ur SPM result

thank you so much for this as this really restored hope in myself... because I don't think I will get good SPM results based on my very bad trials results, and the pressure I get from my family as my sister got many A's and now is in UM...

Don't worry, I agree with MalaysiaPayGap. TBH, I failed my SPM in 1994. But, now, I have a Top Tier PhD degree from Edinburgh Uni, UK and working as a Data Scientist in well known company

I can say I'm an all As student in my school life and get decent enough cgpa in my diploma but my income still barely reaching the B category. Didn't get to continue bachelor's due to life circumstances. But kinda sad if compares to my peers who get less As in school but came out more successful in life. Of course I'm happy for them but wish I could be as successful as them also. One thing I can say from this is SPM is just a starting point and focus on what you like to do instead and be successful in it. Don't be like me, not really having directions in career life and wasted my youth working random jobs.

It would be great to get full timers ( or other employment type but of the same type) who worked for the same number of years and for a better comparison. But kudos to the work MPG has done so far, thanks for doing this for society and the community.

Working experience and field seems more relevant when discussing salary. Maybe tertiary education results is more relevant? Spm result probably affects more on getting into college/uni and scholarships. Still, it's good to show that spm result is not everything. And it would be nice to see a video discussing on alternate pathways to career if spm result is not good.

it's about self discipline, SPM just key to chase your main goal. College/Uni is place you really need to focus on because it's about your career.

the gap of income disparity is so wide just across the causeway. i am from singapore. a singaporean chinese working in singapore. most singaporeans are generally in the D category. I mean if we do conversion. median salary in terms of ringgit for singaporeans are around 16 to 17k ringgit.

Dear MalaysianPAYGAP, would be appreciated if you could do a video about 3rd class degree graduates, what's their career now? Do recruiters still consider graduate classifications as one of the main factors (i know many of them wrote it in the job requirement), even though the fresh graduates have certain skills and have passion in pursuing the career they applied for? Thanks in advance 🙏

i got 6as. i came from boarding school. 6as was considered a bit low during my time there. but my income now is more than double D. and i earned more than most of the people from my batch. but i work overseas. so, i guess taking the opportunity with the necessary set of skills and experience is important these days.

There are more to take into account. 2 of my friend straight As, the more privildge will more likely to earn C out of college than my poor friend who make A out of college. Sandwich generation and skills parents invested. The safety net helps alot in salarh improvement.😅
