@@jettslappy7028 Scott Joplin was a genius in his own right and the good news is--he actually could compose music and play his instrument with expertise. If they can't sing, compose music or play their instruments, it's hip hop or rap (or EDM). Besides, it's all digitized now anyway. Yawn.

Tupac didn't write California. It was written by Joe Cocker and Chris Stainton and Tupac took the music and talked over it, then renamed it.

Thanks for explaining what sampling is mate 👍
@KingAllYearАй бұрын
Yeah that’s called a sample..
@gregcable3250Ай бұрын
@@KingAllYear Yeah, I know. It started in the 80s when people who could not play instruments or sing stole riffs, motifs, etc. from real musicians. After a while they were forced to pay to "sample", but the reality was the same: talent-free takes from talent. Whoosh!
@gregcable3250Ай бұрын
@@MoeDavinci Ain't your mate, pal. And sampling is stealing from talent by the talent-free. The original song, written by the two musicians I mentioned, was called "Woman to Woman" and it is farrrrrrrr (not enough r's to make my point) superior to the talent-free talking-over-stolen-music-because-I-can't-actually-sing-or-compose-music, renamed thing that came after.
