Please dont quit Levy. You are the only chess youtuber I genuinely enjoy watching Edit: I might have to say something because a lot of people are mad or confused as to why I only enjoy watching Gothamchess. I am not a dedicated chess player and only play it during my leisure time when I want to. I watch Levy for his commentary. When I watch other chess youtubers, my brain tends to fuzz out and I can't watch it for any longer. I hope at least one of you understands

As a software engineer, these kinds of glitches can be down to a line of code, a bug in an OS update that then affects the application infrastructure, .NET updates that have unexpected knock on effects, or even pushes that close security flaws. 9 times out of 10, sweeping changes like this are bugs that aren't intended, but BUG or NOT, the correct user action is to report this and don't assume that the devs know. Because a lot of the manifest bugs won't show to a dev unless they have a robust testing schedule, so they usually show to users first.
@teohahs9464 Жыл бұрын
27:50, the thing Gotham missed is increment and berserking on lichess, if you're playing some one way stronger than you but you have 5+2, and they only have 2.5+0 cause they berserked, it evens the playing field a lot more than you expect, I beat an NM 800 points better than me in a lichess tourney because I had 2+1 and he only had 1+0, and my blitz is stronger than my bullet, and if you can't get a good attack going while berserking things can go sideways really quickly

Is someone going to submit a game played against Magnus or Hikaru in a future episode? 0:34-0:41 Didn't you mention that happening in a previous video? "I feel like this chess game was played by two citizens of Ohio." Why Ohio? Game 3: "White resigned because they must have thought Black knows how to mate with King and Rook." Yeah, I'm not entirely sure how to do it myself. Last time I tried, I ended up in a stalemate. King and Queen is much easier since the Queen covers the diagonal.

21:17 In my children's chess school there was a test to checkmate with a rook and a king in 30 seconds, this was considered one of the basic skills. As far as I remember, this did not cause any difficulties for anyone, even the most stupid ones. I don't think this would be a problem for the 1300 elo.
