0:16 - What an instant chord! How can you not know "Hard Day's Night"? Weird to think that there are people who do not know it. But time passes us all, and even classic songs are not as known... 2:10 - Dangit, I guessed "Poker Face" as "Sweet Dreams" by mistake. Never thought of those two as similar, but that beginning.. 4:27 - My first instinct for "Beat It" was "Eat It" by Weird Al (which is, of course, the same opening.). I wonder if I would have been allowed the point or not? 7:55 - Oh, and "Sweet Dreams" came in, too! They are for sure different, but also they are kinda' similar... 13:29 - "Paint the town red" by Doja Cat - Except she's sampling from "Walk on By" by Dionne Warwick. (But "Walk on By" doesn't start with the part that she sampled, so I suppose if we're going by 'song opening' this has to be correct. I have issues with sampling, but that's just me, I guess.) This was a fun list! All of them were very much their own thing (except for maybe "Sweet Face Poker Dreams", but that might just be me), very identifiable- assuming you are familiar with the song in the first place. A good mix of genres and eras: some older, some newer. Being a Gent / Elder Millennial, I was not as good at the recent songs, better at the older songs.
