Ive had the Defender 2 break on me during filming, mentioned this S45 jammed on me and swapped ammo. I just did an S45 mini and showed how terrible it was past 30 yards. Whether I keep anything or not has no impact on what my videos will show.

Have you tried loading 1 slug without using a mag? The slug length issue is based on the mag. I'm wondering if you could use a heavier slug, say 300 grain. As it is myhollowpoint topped off around 185 using a mag.

I didnt single feed for this PCP but I have for the Bintac M50. The M50 works great with boat tails, I took the shortest barrel model and ran those slugs. The accurate range is supposed to be something like 30 yards for the 5 inch barrel, I was hitting targets at 70 yards with that ammo. Pretty much no mag on any airgun will fit boat tails, they are too tall but they are one of the best all around slug types.

I think you will find that muzzle velocities will be slightly higher placing the chrono about 15 feet from the muzzle. Try it and see

The round is slowing down as soon as it leaves the muzzle. Further distance is recommended in case the blast from the muzzle interferes with the reading though. The round penetration will increase at further distances, around 100 yards it will push further through the gel block vs 5 feet. Takes distance for the round to stabilize

You will need an HPA compressor, a special hand pump or if you wanted to, you can get a transfer tank(similar to a SCUBA tank) and have a store fill that for you if there is one close by. These fill up to 4500psi at the moment, 7000psi capable units are on the way soon.

@@shelbykindrick-dz8bo I had the one jam I mentioned with the pillar pellets, when I swapped ammo it ran flawless. I had no issues with the trigger but I do know what you mean, I just saw a video of someone manually resetting the trigger. Ive heard if you dont use the speed loader and the mag slips, thats what can break them and can cause a cycling issue. If you run it too low on air it will definitely stop cycling at some point

These spit air out like crazy from the breech. I assume it has something to do with the action for semi-auto. Its sealing for when the round goes off, but excess air or air used to cycle the action is escaping as the probe comes back.

@@TheMojoTribe I have the Umarex Hammer, should be legal if you have a license. It had a design flaw lol, they made pressure sealed mags to correct the problem. If you fired one with a moderator, it didnt matter how quiet it made the muzzle because the air escaped out the mag. I found that out the hard way... Holy crap, rang my ears like crazy. I wouldnt even doubt the possibility that the air could cut something, where it escapes is very narrow.

Is it too loud to shoot in my backyard with a suppressor/moderator? The closest house to me is 200 feet away. I have a bunch of ARs and AKs, but I can only practice with them at a dedicated shooting range. It would be nice to practice with this air rifle without my neighbors calling the police.

If you want the best accuracy for these, boat tail slugs are great. They are usually higher grain, fitting them in the magazine can sometimes be an issue due to the size, too tall. You can get away with using the ammo I did here at long range but the boat tails are going to group the best more than likely. Heres a video of around 45-50 yards I think it was, same airgun for the most part just manual vs semi: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6K2pYOInNSFqKcsi=eL2gm13wyvxqrte9 If you scroll through and view the target, I am aiming at the same spot each time and showing how much drop to expect over time, so elevation is dropping but the windage is pretty solid. Same rounds in this video but no pillar on them. The boat tails in the M50 are very accurate, potential for an moa group at 70 yards. I dont inspect my ammo as thoroughly as I should, sometimes there are flyers. The video next week had some rounds going through the same hole at 70

@@toxicmatrix1337 they tried licensing weapons producing more than 1.7joule over here in n.Ireland, but that didn’t work because of loopholes regarding what can be classified as a firearm for instance airsoft guns that can produce more than 1.7joules still classify as a toy, and some air guns are very alike to an airsoft gun in terms of mechanics and speed, aswell as some homemade air rifles and pistols being classified as work tools such as a bolt gun used to dispatch animals. So eventually the government pretty much gave in on this stuff and lowered the cost of an airgun license to £11 ($14.08) per 5yrs which is extreamly cheap, aswell as not putting a cap on how much air weapons u can own.

If you can live without semi auto, the bintac m50 is very similar to this. You can get a pump action kit that turns it into the style of the megalodon thats on next week, the m50 starts around 650.

This one was a hopeful but i know it has issues. Saw a different guys one year follow up and i won't waste money on this. Yhe guy had a plastic stock magazine explode cuz of the way they cycle and every mag he shot jammed or clipped the round by the 3rd round. He then said it has to do with yhe flaws in the trigger setup. I refuse to throw away money on a weapons system that is thus flawed i will keep my bolt action bulldog or even build a 30 cal gauntlet before I buy this.

This S45 has been gone for a while, but I have an S45 mini here that I am planning to do another review on. The first time I had the mini out, it was incredibly picky with ammo. The mags have not been working well this time around either, I find ammo that works better but it jams every last round. I think theres all metal magazines available and Texoma has the metal cover plates, but those definitely dont fix the issues with cycling. This full size S45 Nitro loved the 155 grain ammo, it ran perfect with that ammo.

Definitely. If they put just a little more into testing, there probably wouldnt be an issue. Kind of the trade off with AEA, some of their stuff is much cheaper than others, but you might run into an issue. Most of the time, I dont come across too many problems but its aggrevating when it happens.

Yes, these pcp airguns are as powerful. Howe, in order to begin shooting a gun like this, you need to invest at least, $2,200 to get started. With all the add-ons, A- first time airgunner can spend $3,000 if you want a quality airgun like the Huben, Leshiy, America Air Arms, FX, and RAW. Remember, you need aN air compressor(not sold at hardware stores) and an inspected scuba tank, or an Air tank, and slugs/pellets. Pcp airgun lead slugs are not sold at the local store! They are only available by mail. Most people can spend $200 on a firearm and your ready-to-go. There is no comparison in terms of cost.

There is definitely comparison in terms of cost. The air compressor should be considered part of your ammo expense, its producing your propellent. Imagine having a device that created gunpowder out of thin air. Budget airguns exist and to be fair, most people don't use scuba tanks, they just fill the cylinders. You can get a gauntlet 30, with a compressor that will fill it for well under $1000. If you want a scuba tank for cheap, get a used one or one that needs inspection. Pay the $30 dollars for the test and you get a cheap tank that someone didnt want to spend the time on. You can easily grab molds and make your own ammo, its nice because all you need is lead and air, no brass, no powder, no dies, no primers. For firearm ammo, I buy all of it online. The stores here have no where near the selection that I require. They don't stock calibers that I use and if they do, its a single box. lol I got a budget safe for my firearms, it was 3000 dollars. Thats one hell of an expense in itself, not to mention ammo is far more expensive in most cases for firearms. If you want extreme examples of cost, firearms will be it. 3000 dollars for a volquartsen 22, 7500 dollars for a pit viper, 50,000 dollars for a full-auto AR

Thank you! Are you looking for actual shot rounds or a small caliber pellet gun? The cheapest I can think of is the AEA SF, thats a smaller profile and you get multiple calibers to choose from and barrel lengths. For actual shot, it would have to be single fed into the chamber but im not sure of any manufacturer that makes ammo like that in that caliber. There are higher caliber shotshells but they are used in much larger setups.

@@Romas65 Check out the Defender 2 on texomas website, I completely forgot about that lol www.texomaprecisionpellet.com he makes 410 shotshells for it. You may need to cut the ends a little and free up the glue that holds them. That should work fine for what you want I would bet. My Defender 2 broke while filming but it ended up being the cartridge that failed. If you do go that route, check the threads on the cartridges, mine were loose and it blew the firing pin back into the frame lol kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4a8oY1moc2SZ5Y

I'm trying to get in with your channel, but I'm having one issue that I think you would like to correct being that you are seemingly data-driven. It is feet per second not foot pounds, unless you're measuring the foot pounds of torque that's hitting the ballistics gel or something silly like that

@@corywebb5537 A regulator on this would be really good. A lot of these AEA/Bintac big bores have a crazy powerful first round and then it usually settles down around 3000 or 3500psi. A 3000psi reg or something along those lines would be great.

Toxic matrix, Yeah, on an unregulated, like my other PC PS you get used to the drop very easily. But the Nitro is powerful enough where if it was regulated, even though you'd lose the real high power at the first few shots, it would still be powerful enough and good to have the consistency. That's just a trade-off for regulated and unregulated.

@@corywebb5537 Im all for consistency over power. I want as close to hole in hole accuracy as possible. I hate having to question whats responsible for missing something when you know you arent to blame. Like the MCAR, velocity was within 5-10fps every single round, but it had fliers. Then it just opened up the flood gates of what the cause of it was lol! Was it the type of ammo used, the grain weight, the quality of the ammo, possible internal bubbles in the ammo, the diameter of the ammo, the barrel cleanliness, the barrel harmonics, the moderator being on it, is it the scope, the wind, does the velocity need to be turned up or down? LOL. At least I know that it wasnt the consistency in velocity causing the issues though. If theres a PCP thats capable of what I want, its the MCAR. With the tripod and monopod I had setup, it was impossible to miss what you were aiming at. It had to be the most stable platform I've used to date, the weight of the rifle plants in place. Im probably going to buy one at some point, I have so much more to try and dial in with that, its bugging me still. Can you tell? hahaha

I think one of the reasons they won’t is because nobody committing crimes is going to want to spend this much money when they can get a concealable Glock for $200. Especially because just to get started you need like $1500 minimum for semiauto. Plus what are they gonna do ban air? I’m grandfathered in anyway lol fuggum.

Or 1 benelli m4. The hobby needs more people involved to bring prices down, but not everything costs this much though. Some items are produced in much larger volumes, the cost is reflected in that. As an enthusiast in both firearms and airguns, there are other options like 7 mossberg 88s but they arent this. Its not for everyone but its a passion for the majority of people involved. I got started with an umarex gauntlet 30 for 400. Its the 22long rifle of the airgun world. Id recommend that to someone looking to get started.

Can't shoot a mossberg in your yard, again these are made for the air rifle enthusiast who doesn't mind spending the cash, also ammo isn't that expensive if your into it, it's a hobby, hobbies are expensive, and also no background checks and is very deadly. I was in the hayday of paintball where things were insane, $2000+ custom markers galore. Today is tame now, it was nuts 20 years ago. I had $1000+ in upgrades to various markers, that was my thing growing up. Still fascinating but harder to justify when they only fling paint. PCP airguns are incredible.
