I've been instagram-free for over a year, and TikTok free as of the new year. And my psyche is like THANK GOODNESS! Social media isn't what it use to be, so much consumerism, so much "look at my perfect life", and in general just spending our days looking at other peoples lives instead of being present in our own. And all of the ads and fake news in between. It's exhausting. KZbin is the only app I will continue to use. Happy to see you back❤

Totally agree, I had social media since always, and seeing how negative it has change, advertising stuff all the time, Then FB became political involved then Instagrams then now Tik Tok. Although we can choose to watch certain content, it is still hard not to get caught up in opinions etc. I am also thinking of deactivating FB and IG, I do for family and friends, but I hardly download photos. Because so much waste of time, I feel like if I do, I will be missing out of some information. I will do a 3 month cleanse and then see I can control myself and just check it weekly.

@ That's a great idea! For me, I just realized that if I'm that curious to know what my friends or family did that day or that weekend, I could personally check in with them instead. More connections, less observing. It was my reason to stay on IG for so long but it really was just an excuse and I constantly scrolled. Like too much. I can't tell you how freeing it is. And how bazar when I realized I actually kept those apps probably just to follow the influencers or people i was "obsessed with". Whether for style inspo or lifestyle and THEIR families. And it was just a subconscious comparison always. So I'm never going back! And yes FB and IG (Meta) is going downhill and I think a lot of people are leaving

Saz... So much truth was spoken on this video... "You don't have to look far to find me... I created you and you were created in my image therefore you are my daughter" 😭. I literally got chills when you were saying everything Jesus is! WOW WOW WOW, Jesus ❤ Also, I have sticky notes everywhere in my office of Bible verses that help me with my flaws and you mentioned being quick to speak, sis, James 1:19 is for us "be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to get angry." Hi Sazan, your message in this video and your story reminded me where i stood with the Lord. I understand and it is good for you to be aware of being a content creator and the reality of social media, the negative etc. Glad you left Texas, not sure if politics had something to do with that, but we are living in a time of change and division. I used to love Tik Tok and now so full of overwhelming negative content, and we all get caught up scrolling and by doing that it does affect our peace of mind. I can't imagen the younger generation that aren't even aware. Honestly Sazan, thank you for posting this. I really needed to hear it. I’ve been feeling that same weight, I also use social media for business but it’s over stimulating and at times feels vein and I question what’s the point. But through your video, and allowing God to speak through you, I’m reminded that He does give us this platform to share His light and glorify Him through. And you’re a testament to that, you decided to turn on that camera and allow Him to speak through you and it reached not only me but others too! I resonated with all you said Saz! Your video came at a perfect time. I love your passion for Christ and seeking Him first. I remember meeting you in 2019, I was pregnant with my third son and you were so sweet to me! It was here at in event at a church in San Diego. My husband and I have been together since 2016 and will soon be hitting 10 years!! We are on baby number 5 now. Wow! I found myself on New Year’s Day, crying and lost. I see so many people excited for a new year and I didn’t feel that excitement. It wasn’t until I really asked God to step in. I found myself attending prayer groups, church meetings, and church every Sunday. I started the Bible in Year! And I also decided to let go of social media a bit. But being at church in the presence of other believers has reignited my love for Jesus and redirected my thoughts towards Him. It has been the biggest game changer because I felt my marriage was barely hanging on, I felt so much resentment towards everyone and my mind kept going and going. I cried out to God that I don’t want to continue living my life without Him. Seeing you and hearing your video has been so refreshing. Thank you for posting this! I pray God can continue to work in you to shed that light we all need! May He continue to bless you, your family and your marriage. 🤍

I’m with you 10000%! I own my own business, I’m a mom and wife and the social media aspect is so distracting and it’s a nasty place to be because it’s purpose is to be distracting and addictive and I don’t like contributing but I also need it to some extent. My relationship with God took a hit and I’m getting back on track as well. Thanks for sharing because trying to pull back, recalibrating according to Gods purpose, and running a business is my life rn and I don’t think anyone understands this journey. I’m so glad you’re back we’ve been waiting for you. 😊We all need some time to ourselves to recharge and rejuvenate. Going back to your point, I’ve always been a strong believer, praying regularly since childhood, especially growing up around my dad’s distant Cousin being “Mar Dinka” Catholicos-Patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the east. I left a job of 16 years to take care of my dad with dementia as sad as it was I enjoyed spending every second of those years with him, he made us laugh even during tough times. Sadly, after he passed away, I began looking for new job opportunities. I finally found a job that I was really excited about, but it only lasted 3 months, ending just a few days before Christmas. I was left confused, sad and all of the above, especially since they didn’t provide any explanation. Watching my dad struggle with dementia, along with the fear of not being able to keep a job, has made me question God and His plan for me. And I keep apologizing for having these thoughts in my head, but I guess as human beings we’ll never be perfect no matter what. I hope God grants my family and all of humanity health, peace, and blessings, and I pray that He answers all of our prayers. Amen!!🙏🙏❤

Remember He dwells in you and you are in Him. You just can't get any closer than that. Every season of our lives has a sacred slow with no guilt, no shame, and no fear. Allowing yourself as a young mother to work in that season is absolutely beautiful. Relax in His grace. You are covered and cherished. We pastored for 16 years and were missionaries for 8 years. The rest of the years has been building a ministry to hurting rural pastors and wives. After raising 3 incredible boys to men I look back now at my young mother years. I was in a hurry. I wanted to achieve ministry "success" and in the process missed some of the greatest moments of being a mother. My first blog was in 2007. Way before I knew anything about KZbins and Instagram. I do not seek that anymore. I just love small creativity to feed my art soul. I still feel throughout those seasons that I wasn't enough. That was a big frustration. I had too many hats. You are so wise to listen to the Holy Spirit for this season of your life. Blessings.

Just by watching you for many many years, I can sense that you are someone truly precious. As I listened to what you were saying, I was amazed to see how God led me to hear your words, especially since they resonate so deeply with what I’ve been experiencing. I’m on a journey to discover my purpose after several failed spine surgeries and five years of chronic pain.
