Words to use in Tigrinya next time. 1. Year. 2. Month. 3. Soldier. 4. Engineer. 5. Grass. 6. Color. 7. Mirror. 8. Book/books. 9. Airplane. 10. Grade (what grade are you in) P.S These Tigrinya words are Eritrean based. Tigri Ethiopians often use Tigrinya the way British use English (compared to the way Americans use English). Amharic is soft version of tigrigna for the most part That is why it is easy for an eritrean to learn amharic if he want to even though eritreans diont want to learn amharic cos they hate amhara cos of the past poletics and history but it is harder for amhara to learn tigrigna
@simonsami21274 жыл бұрын

You are right those who livs in Addis Ababa they should learn cos it is necesery,but i hear a lot from ethiopia side, saying why you do not learn amharic ,it surprise me ,how can they say that to other people have their own Country and langage or may be they think Amharc as international laungage, i do not know.

@brookendale36114 жыл бұрын
How can you explain? They aren't similar at all dude
@EritreanGamerOfficial4 жыл бұрын
I don’t agree they’re extremely different. But many other Eritrea languages are similar to somali like Afar for example
@brookendale36114 жыл бұрын
@@EritreanGamerOfficial they're. because one is semetic and the other is cushitic to begin with. somali borrowed some words from arabic, but so did afar. so to say somali is more similar to tigrigna doesn't make sense at all, its amharic that's influenced by cushitic languages more than tigrigna to begin with. its like looking for where Hindi was influenced by english and say it's similar with german. I speak both amharic and tigrigna so what's your proof? And many other languages are similar to somali? wait do somalis have to have something in common with eritrea? is that your point?
@EritreanGamerOfficial4 жыл бұрын
Brook Endale calm down bro. I was responding to the guy above. And i pretty much said the same thing as u. Tigrinya and tigre are semitic agreed but don’t forget that afar, saho, bilen, hidereb are cushitic so... more similar to Somali than Tigrinya for example. And i heard from an actual Afar girl that somali, afar and oromo(east cushitic languages) are very similar, so they can slightly understand each other. (Like Tigrinya, tigre and amharic) In the other hand bilen being a central cushitic one, (me being bilen obviously 😜) we share similar tones with them but very few common words. But our language is similar to some northern Ethiopian cushitic languages(Agew languages like awngi, xamtanga,qimant etc) And the hedereb language shares similar tones with the rest but it’s vocabulary is unique and not common with others. But Tigrinya and Tigre are spoken by more than 90% of Eri 🇪🇷(cushitic languages are spoken by less than 10%) so we’re mainly semitic not to forget the constant influence of Arabic in our community. ✌️
