SVSSS deserves waaay more recognition. It's the most underrated novel among the holy Trinity of mxtx but it's really good considering that it was the first. Not to mention the main character who is such a MOOD. If anyone hasn’t read it and is genuinely confused about what it’s about (no major spoilers below)… Basically an internet troll dies and gets transmigrated into a web novel that he hates. But instead of becoming the protagonist, he’s put into the role of the villain who has a pretty awful fate that he wants to avoid and so by trying to avoid this fate he accidentally turns a male fantasy, harem novel into a gay romance. There’s obviously a lot more that goes on but that’s the general gist of things.

But once I understood the names and titles I was golden. I kiiind of knew some stuff about Chinese gods and stuff from watching a few movies a few years back. But I wasn't super familiar. Didn't help that the subs had weird names for things. But once I heard of Scumvillian I was immediately like. "Oh it's an isekai but gay!" I was hooked. Isekai animes aren't always my favorite since I'm not a big fan of harems. Especially when the Mc is super op (*coughcough* Proud Immortal Demons Way *coughcough*). Right? Luo Binghe and Hua Cheng share many things, yet they are very different characters. I think TGCF was the chance for MXTX to develop a lot of ideas she already had in SVSSS. In a way, she went and lived in real life what SQH lived within the novel, she wrote what she had to write (comedy, transmigration, etc) in order to ascend to fame and once she got the liberty of delving into her own interests, she dug the precious ideas under the tropes and wrote them as she wanted. However, I don't mean to say SVSSS and TGCF are the same story (not at all!), they just share images and tropes that MXTX wanted to revisit through a different framework (more fame and therefore creative freedom, a different genre, etc).

The worst & simultaneously the best description I’ve ever seen of SV is like “imagine some guy hate reads Harry Potter and hates it but LOVES Harry Potter as a character and wants better for him. He chokes to death on some ramen while ranting about it online and wakes up in the body of Snape and he HATED Snape because of how he treated harry, so he 1) tries to do better by his favorite character (harry), and 2) NOT DIE bc he also know Snape dies. It is so funny watching your confusion in this. Because I felt the exact same way when I decided to read it. I read Mo Dao Zu Shi first and loved it, then read Tian Guan Ci Fu and thought I died and went to heaven, it was so good!! Then read Scum Villain and I was so confused. But it honestly is a good story. Once you figure it out. I watch your videos and my enthusiasm level is right up there with yours on these stories!! 🥰♥📚 And remember, papapa to save the world.

Your reactions are so funny can't wait for part two 😂 I just wanna say, the premise for SVSS may seem weird but this was a really fun one for me and I really recommend it! I feel like it's different from her other two novels in a good way, and while maybe doesn't have as much depth, I still think it's very underrated. If you're iffy about it try the donghua first! You can finish it in one sitting and it's a good laugh~

Lit Scum Villain was the first MXTX novel I read and it’s still my favorite. I love it so much😭😭😭❤️. Actually, it was my first novel of the genre😂
