Thank you for the review. I have been looking to buy one of these bags in red and I am always worried about how much I can fit into them. It's not a bad size and yes, it looks well made and elegant. You mentioned how you wish it had detachable straps but I actually prefer when they are not. I think a lot of this kind of hardware can make a bag look cheap and detract from the simplicity and streamlined design, but that's just my take on it.

Hello! Beautiful color bag. I agree that we have to use the bag several times to get an authentic review. I’ve used bags 2-3 times and then figured out by the 4th or 5th use, I didn’t love it. Of course then it’s too late 🙄 Happy and healthy new year to you and your family 🎉😊

@@totesgene thank you Gene it’s ok, I put a little post on instagram that I was going to take a hiatus with his picture but it was right before thanksgiving. At least I think I did 😆 🤦‍♀️ I actually don’t remember it’s been a blur. Funeral was day before thanksgiving then we left for our vacation 2 days after thanksgiving then came back and went straight into vlogmas and even though I had pre record some of vlogmas starting in July I still had to do the daily intro and outro and final edit etc you know the drill, then we went into birthday season for our family son and grandson in December plus nephew and grand nephew and niece. I tell you December kicked my butt 😝 it all did. But I’m slowly trying to catch up. Luckily I bulk record because of my illness I never know when I’ll be out with a flare up so the channel went on but I’ve used almost all of my backups and I’m so behind on recording but it is what it is right. I’ll be good. I just hate if people thought I wasn’t supporting etc. Well enough blabbering 😆 thanks for listening

Hi Gene, Thanks for this lovely review of a lovely bag. The colour is stunning, you can see the quality of the leather even on an iPad screen, and I love the clasp. AliceInParis has this bag in red, and I’ve been thinking of getting it. But… there is one thing. The way the seams are sewn on this bag creates an effect I’m not sure I like. Because of this, the sides of the bag have a concave look to them and the contents of the bag appear to “stretch out” the leather in the same way that over-stuffing the bag would do - even if you don’t over-stuff it! Do you agree? And if you do agree, do you think that inserting a firm, felt bag organizer (like Samorga) would prevent this bulging from happening? Enjoying your channel, Gene! 😊

I agree this is a chic quiet luxury bag, and in fact they already increased the price by €10 since I first saw it a few months back when Alice in Paris uploaded her videos about this bag, The only reason I haven’t purchased yet is because I can’t decide on the colour - I keep going back and forth between the taupe and peacock blue colour 😆

I bought this bag from Guibert Allure bag directly from their website. Very late delivery like 2 months upon purchase. When the bag arrived, very disappointing to see how poor the quality is ! Unlike what they claimed. Just sharing my experience.

Hi Gene! Just watched your video. I ordered my in red, just like Alice’s. And what a disappointment it was, the workmanship was terrible . All wrinkled ugly sides, concavity on the front at the base. All seams were painted so sloppy!!! The pin of the buckle was sharp , not polished. Even the color in reality was not what you see on the screen, it was dull. The only beauty was the clasp . But I was appalled and sent it right back. I am glad you like yours, but it was a big NO for me. Overly hyped by Alice,France has so much to offer in that mid range price! I'm sorry that was your experience. I believe the wrinkles on the side are due to the fact that there isn't a lot of coating on the leather, which let's us see the leathers natural beauty.

@@totesgene I am sorry too because I really loved the style and the contrast of leather and gold there. It is super feminine !!! But it is still a structured bag and has to be made perfectly , especially if they claim to be the masters of leather making goods. None of my purses, expensive or medium priced have such awful defects. On your bag btw I see the front caving at the bottom too. Just poorly constructed bag.Sorry

⁠@@sofyameytus710I love the sort of caving it at the bottom because the leather is so soft. Most of the time these brands put a thick coating on their leather which keeps it stiff and smooth. I love the softness of this leather.

No apology , no offer to exchange. They are shameless thieves. Never ever will purchase from them again! So beware!
