Ethiopian-American vocalist Meklit and her partner Marco Peris Coppola, from Italy but who plays music from the Balkans on tupan drum, co-organized this project. Also in the band were Rohan Krishnamurthy from India on percussion, Safa Shokrai from Iran on bass, Obrayan Calderon from Cuba on trombone, Prasant Radhakrishnan from India on saxophone, Roziht Edwards from Taiwan on cello.
