I loved your review! It was totally honest and refreshing. Most reviewers just rave about it like it's the best perfume in the world but you actually broke it down and were real about it. I've tried Guidance several times and didn't like it. I got a sample of Guidance 46 and liked it better but it's still not a love for me. I will keep trying it to see if that changes.

Im Middle Eastern so im used to harsh scents, so to me Guidance is not harsh of challenging at all! Im a guy and this is my all time favorite scent. I think that everyone will love this scent on others, but wearing it yourself could be challenging only because of how strong the projection is and it could last for days.

Both guidance and the 46 love at first sniff, the Bayn al Asrar opens with some strange note and becomes too sweet for me in the drydown, the Musk pour Amber is difficult to get.

I have smelled Guidance the OG two times and both of them I was really impressed. I thought it was a very unique and addictive perfume. Once I even had the opportunity to spray it on myself. I did only 1 spray on one of my wrists, then I taped it on the other wrist and on the sides of my neck. When I tell you that the juice somehow got onto my jacket and weeks later I can still smell its presence in the room when the jacket is there, I'm not kidding. It's that kind of perfume and for once I am not bothered. It's addictive. I'm happy to know that besides Bayn al Asrar there is another similar perfume, because I've been looking for something like this. Thank you for the suggestion.

I loved this comparison review! I decluttered a Guidance miniature bottle when I was a beginner to perfume 😣 I have since circled back and own a full bottle. I think it’s a masterpiece. Unless the price drops significantly on 46, I likely won’t purchase a full bottle but I just got a 5ml decant to try.

I did get the chance to smell the OG Guidance and I loved it, I don't think I've smelled something this unique since I first got my nose on Baccarat Rouge. I won't be buying it but I got Bayn al Asrar which does scratch the itch.

Amouage can be tricky for me so I had to decant first. Actually OG decant arrived today and I'm wearing it. It's true love!.. Perfumer Quentin Bisch had never let me down and I think this will be remembered as his lifetime masterpiece. INot a big fan of almond notes so I'll sample 46 out of curiosity, but will go for a full bottle of the OG. Thank you for this warm review.

I have a sample and tried it once but all I smelled was a strong white floral and I am not a fan of white florals at all. Maybe I will try it again

Guidance OG and Guidance 46 were love at first sniff for me. I wore it for the first time to my son’s wedding and received an extraordinary amount of compliments. I’m neglecting all my other fragrances in order to wear these beauties.

I have a sample of Amouage Guidance and it was disappointing when I sprayed it on myself....I kept thinking "Am I missing something here?!" So I tossed it in my sample drawer and have never looked back....😂

Khadlaj for me smells like candies and has nothing in common with guidance, i prefer zara stellar amber or bayn al asrar :/

For me the same happened. I tested it, hated it. Than my husband got it for my birthday, sales person convinced. I could not say my husband that I hate it, I could not sell it. I decided to sell some decants, and when I had left about 20 of 100ml, something clicked. And I started to like the drydown. 😂

I have a sample of the original, and I tried it once. It smelled nice, but familiar. Not new or unique. Old school. Like something my mom would wear when I was a kid. I am curious again now. I'll try it again tomorrow.

I am testing it again now. It is very pleasant, but in the air it still reminds me of a designer fragrance my mom used to wear, but I can't figure out which one, yet. The only thing I don't like up close is the hazelnut. Maybe that will fade. You are not in LA area with the fires right now, I hope?

The first time I tested the OG Guidance, I was repelled. Acutually the scent was quite pleasant and original, but my stomach turned upside down in an hour 😂 I get this sometimes from some scents (lucky me - it is quite rare). The second attempt (I have eaten a decent lunch before that) I made, it wasn’t so bad. However, there is some note which really bothers me. A kind of plastic, toxic smell 🤔🤔 in the backgroud. The secnt is well crafted, well blended and projects well. But I dont get the hype….nothing special to me. Just a well done, beast mode scent 🙄

For me Guidance is creamier while G46 is spicier. I do not find anything disturbing in those fragrances, I find them both gorgeous from the first smell. I haven't tried Bayn Al Asrar...Musk Pour Amber is a beautiful perfume (it needed maturation in my case,cause the first smell I got from the new bottle was extremely disappointing, soapy and bitter and screechy) , but I think is miles away from the original...It lacks that special something that Guidance have...🙂 Well...,maybe it just needs sitting more weeks..😉
