Guidanz Run on an IPHONE

A phone app that can control an engine ecm and recalibrate. To me this is star wars stuff but it is here NOW. In this video i walk you through the free version of Guidanz an app by Cummins. Once you hook up to that engine the phone service sends data back to Cummins on your engine. These days no matter what electronic tooling you use it pretty much sends data back to the manufacturer. This is the free version and the paid version has much more power. In the future I will do a paid version review. Tentatively summer of 2024 that should show up on channel.

I have been using mine for 6 months now the app is kind of glitchy it crashes if you don't use it for 3or4 months at a time but I've updated my ECM calibration with with it and it seems to work good for updating. I think it's good to it relays information back and forth with Cummins and if you have a Cummins quick-serve online account I think it'll also let you know about predictive failures. 14:53 14:53 14:53

Thanks for your comment! Its good to know it can successfully calibrate the ecm. I plan on licensing the app next year and that should turn on diagnostics. I will do a video on that. The Cummins rep told me a years license is about 85ish dollars.

@@ENGINESHOPJOE that's good to know I live in Southern Ontario and the rep from Cummins in my area actually sent me the inline mini for free for my 2021 x15.

Any update on the licensed version? Really interested in this as an owner op. I basically want to be able to see codes and recommendations and instructions on testing and or solutions for fixing the issue. Is there a way to see values as I’m driving down the road, like gauges…real-time? Insight and the cables/laptop is a bit pricey and would rather get the info and solutions at a more reasonable cost? More info on pricing and capabilities of the licensed version would be greatly appreciated….

You can buy it from cummins sales and service for around $200. Im sure you can order it from cummins.com

It went up - Prices are going up again jan 1-2024 about 6%. Last time I checked it was $348.00
