Forgot to differentiate between core and arm. Depending on your confidence going Solar for Core is a very viable option. Core 45 metal and 175 energy for Wind, ARM is 37 metal and 175 energy vs core 150 metal for solar and arm 155. Nice thing about the solar is you can soak them up later and lose nothing. With the wind, it is a loss of the energy. My rule is I watch me eco, if I have extra power I keep building wind along with my energy converters. If I have extra metal I will add solar. I also love taking 3 solar collectors later and sucking them up to turn into Advanced Solar collectors. I feel guilty doing that with Wind Turbines. If you go strong wind eco from the start players should also plan on an energy storage.

Great imputes! I have thought of trying t1 solar to see if I end up liking it. Will look into in the future for sure.

Solar is for 3 kinds of people. 1) Those who want to smooth their initial E generation with 1-2 solars. 2) People playing on a map where wind averages less than 7. 3) People who can't do math.

@@evilme73 4. Those that have more metal than energy and need extra energy fast and want 0 loss other than build power/time to put down a solar collector and suck it up later.

Several people fall into the 3rd group I’m sure 🤣

@@Veevslav1 imo if you're in that situation, then you already messed up your eco somewhere earlier, in which case refer to point 3

You should be able to focus only on what matter and make the video direct to the point.
