Thank you SO much, I've never done anything to a vehicle before and I'm so proud of myself right now for doing this whole thing! I know it probably doesn't seem like a lot to many people, but to me it's a LOT. So thanks. 😊

From time to time it's a good idea to blow crud out from under the hood and grills with a good leaf blower, especially before going into your intake system. No harm to remove/inspect your air filter and shop vac the air cleaner housing sometimes, too. I also wash out my radiator from the inside (Fan Side) to try and keep it clean. I love my '05 Colo.

Thank you so much for this! I'm currently trying to fix my first truck that was given to me from my beloved grandpa! I finally feel like I learned something useful

I have a 3.5 liter with 131k. had a low idle issue, ran great off idle. long tory short, collapsed pcv hose under plastic pre throttle body intake directly above spark plugs. the tube collapsed and was shitting oil into intake. cheap part. also did the 5 plugs. truck is a trooper now. BTW did the throttle body cleaning first, but it wasn't that nasty and it didn't change. i had my scanner on the car and cyl 4 had 820 counts. after plugs and pcv hose 0 counts

Thank you for this. My truck just started getting weird on me with the rpms fluctuating at 60... And I bet this is the reason way. Thank you for the walkthrough on repairs.

Im getting a P1276 code, throttle body sensor unlearned. Im considering cleaning my throttle body, but what do i have to do for the throttle body sensor to get relearned. I have a 2008 Isuzu I-290 with 146,000 miles, basically a Colorado.

What about the gold nozzle coming off the throttle body, you don’t need to clean or spray it?

I have a 2006 Chevy Colorado that cranks good everything normal but when ever I get to a stop sign ut suddenly shuts off or when pressing the break or when I make any maneuver like turning to the sides or backing up it shakes and losses power causing the engine to shut off any suggestions my friend

Clean your throttle body as he has done in the posted video

4101. What's 10 months to you is like 11 seconds to me. I went down the list of comments and yours was best. So, did you fix your problem? My 2006 does everything mentioned... The ONLY difference...and it's a doozy, is that it runs fine during cooler weather. When the ambient goes over, say, 65 and the engine warms up.... it gets real cranky and hateful. Under that it purrs like a kitten.

Throttle body is not always the cause. Ignition coils and plugs also cause rough idle and surging

So if u just loosen clamp Closet tho TB and the clamp at MAF remove 2-3 10mm on left side of “resonator” box the whole assembly would come off and be together. Work Smarter not harder
