I really enjoyed this Mell. it’s interesting to me to compare the way Guide Dogs are trained in different parts of the world. Here in America the schools I know about at least don’t teach the straight command I wish they did because it would make it easier with directions and my school always told us not to step back with our right foot instead they have S. stay with her left foot forward while we stand still at the curb but I think your way is easier seems like it would make it simpler to help with balance. I’m glad you and Penny are doing well.

Oh my goodness, I can’t imagine having to not step back with my right foot, it would feel so uncoordinated and off-balance! Never mind, as you say, it’s interesting learning how Guide Dogs schools in other countries train, their dogs and their clients. Hope you are well also.

Are there any blind people in Australia who use small, 60 to 150 pound 26 to 30 inch tall, miniature horses as guide animals? And are there any people in Australia who make the special harnesses needed for a mini guide horse?

No, none that I know of. It would be interesting to see how they would be received by the public here.

I don’t know if it would be really that popular here. Dogs are the more accepted animals

it's not popular here either, not at all. I am fighting an uphill battle to get one myself. i'm in the United States and Pennsylvania.

Hi ! I'm a vip from the philippines . It is just sad that i feel your videos are geared towards sighted people more than other vip . This is just my opinion . Pet thanks for sharing .

I aim my videos at both vision impaired people and sighted people. I explain everything in detail, hoping that vision impaired People will be able to understand what is going on, and that sighted people will be able to understand what life is like for me as a blind person.
