This was such a useful video walking through the whole strat. I’ve been playing it slightly different and only about 50% success rate. Hopefully this advice will help. I’m also probably stuck with Shaak for a bit since my Basti is only G11. Thanks for this detailed breakdown. Would love your take vs Rey as well.

Awesome video. Practiced the counter a lot, but haven’t had a good winrate. Yodas foresight at the beginning is key, especially for teams that don’t have incredible speed numbers on their chars. Thumbs up! 👍

@14:20. If sit is debuffed (which he is here before jkl moves again), it would be fine to take out hux. Sit wont aoe, and cleanse instead. This is how I've been playing it. Sit will never aoe when you take out hux and sit is debuffed. I think thats what's been happening in all my battles.

To be honest, I have no idea what a good minimum is. I assume the farther you get from the "idealized mods", the harder it is to win. I'm sure there is a mathematical threshold you don't want to be under, but I don't know it. 220 sounds about right though.

I'm curious why you would mod JKR faster than Hoda. With SLKR triggering saviour on the first turn, JKR will get a bonus turn. I'm not saying to mod your JKR slow, but I don't see why you would have that 1speed difference between the two. What am I missing?

Couple things: 1) Red Trooper isn't always in there to finish off JKR. Gets weird if not, but speed becomes more relevant. 2) This speed layout also sets you up for the eventual Rey counter using the majority of this squad. His speed becomes super relevant then.

@@Xaereth Thanks for explaining. It does make sense if you're looking at it for a 2-4-1 counter to GL Rey and GL Kylo :). That being said, I don't think I've ever encountered an SLKR squad without Sith Trooper XD. Top notch video pal :)

Heh, I will probably eventually make a video on countering Rey as well, but for now, that comp is pretty easily countered by a JKR/JKL/GS/BS/Hoda comp. Mark Rey and kill her, and then the rest is relatively simple. She doesn't have the damage immunity mechanic. It's truly the easiest of the Rey comps to deal with, if you have JKL.

I am finding that I almost never kill Red Trooper with the JKR+JKL assist even though I have R7 JKL with 13.5k Offense and R6 Revan. And once that happens the whole counter falls apart on me.

Is that with all 6E mods? The thing is, yes, it's nice to one-shot, but it's not 100% necessary. My examples are pretty clean because of modding and experience. You still have some wiggle room though :-)

I’m talking about the one that doesn’t require luke to be fast, because it doesn’t require jkr to tm swap w him. I’m talking about the one where he literally says bastila can be slower. Much slower. In fact 60 speed slower than this person has her. I’m talking about the one where he literally says how to mark hux, then continuously buff luke whilst calling him to assist on top of him buffing himself, straightforwardly killing off everyone in about 30 sec, with no variable needed to be explained because it’s a much simpler and straightforward approach

Also the one that didn't show SLK with double tanks. Also the one that didn't show the most standard SLK comp you see in arena or GAC. Also the one that didn't go in depth into the mechanics of how the fights work. Also the one where, again, he said he wasn't going to discuss the strategy of the actual fight. (his words, not mine). My bad. I thought you meant the other one. I like Ian, and he has some good videos. But these are two completely different types of videos. You admitted that you didn't watch more than 5 mins of this video, so maybe don't troll it when you don't know what was said?
