Right... figured it out. The 'To Home' works differently to the 'To Car'. You need to have the setting activated in the menu, but there is also a manual step to follow each time you want to use it. With the engine off (i.e. you've pulled up and parked), flash the mainbeam then open the door and lock the car, the lights will come on for your set period of time. But it'll only do it once, so you'll have to repeat the mainbeam flash each time you want to use this function. Not 100% sure if you need the key in the ignition, would need to try a few different combos. I also "think" it might work if you take the key out and open the door and then flash mainbeam and then close the door and lock. A bit convoluted really. No idea why it just doesn't automatically work when you press the lock button (assuming you've set it to work in the menu). That is how the 'To Car' feature works, so if you unlock the car the lights will be coming no matter what in the dark!

As you can see it's fully automatic on mine, no flashing of the lights . I wonder if this is an SZ5 verses LCV difference

Thank you so much for figuring this out, I'd been breaking my head on how to make the "to home" lights work on my 2024 LCV for a while now. After reading your solution and playing around with it I figured out you can take the key out the ignition, open the door and get out and right before you're about to close the door, give the high beam lever a short pull and it will activate the go home lights. Thank you for the tip 👍. And thank you bigjimny for the video, keep up the good work 👍.

Thanks for the video, although I still can't seem to get this to work. Lights are set in auto, the 'To Car' I have set to 25 secs and unlocking it does bring the headlights on. I have the 'To Home' also set to 25 sec (oddly you can also select 30 sec which you can't on to car). But when I lock the car the headlights stay off.

In India, part of cost cutting, these features are not available. TPMS also not available in top end variant.

Its strange that the lights feature is not included as I consider it a "zero cost" cost option as it is software driven in the BCU, as far as I can see there are no physical modules in the circuit beyone the headlights, the relays and the BCU which all Jimnys have
