Great video. Explains so much. I would still like to know if the type of Hero (ranged, support, defense, melee, etc) is of any import other than giving you an idea of where to put them in the order of attack (front, mid, or back)

Lowman didn't do mistake on her skill range you have like Reaper who will be range 3 if lowman is front row

Hi Slaven, for Reaper that's when enemies are tallying the skill range, not friendly squads. In the video I'm talking about a skill which is targeting her squad and one friendly squad. The friendly squad will be no more than the range of 2.

Just whatever is your strongest legion. All 3 troops types can defeat the guardian in my experience.

Yes lots of combos can defeat this legion in later stages of the game. Even from S4 Brave-RB-IMM should win regular if defending.
