The hate that Jongdae got from certain "fans" was vicious and disgusting... There were even death threats to his wife and (at the time) unborn child. Jongdae is the sweetest, kindest, most humble man and we are truly blessed to even experience a taste of his talent, his heart and his love! I mean, he's not perfect - he can be loud af, a complete troll and is definitely the biggest flirt in EXO! 😄 I love him and I miss him so much! He's back in April, I really can't wait for our precious angel Chen to be back with us again. 😊

What I like and respect about Chen's marriage announcement the most is the fact that the fans was informed about it by Chen himself through a handwritten letter not because he was discovered by the media. After his own announcement many celebrities came out with their hidden/secret families, that made me realized that Chen could've done the same just so he can continue his career unharmed but he did not. My respect for him just rose more after that. Not a lot of men who will lose a lot career wise can do what Chen did.

Yes Chen received a lot of hate for having a girlfriend who he wants to marry. He told us these news through a letter and especially korean EXO-L's couldn't take it and hated on him. (I'm not generalizing, but it was mostly from korean fans) Thousand of "fans" even said online that they would protest in front of SM to kick Chen out of the group. Only 7 people ended up showing up in front of SM^^^ SM ignored those haters and said that there won't be anyone kicked out of the group. Chen wrote another letter apologizing. Not for his marriage but he apologized because he felt that his first letter was lacking and didn't know how to express himself and that he caused us worries. When he enlisted he released the song "Hello" it's a song that talks about his letters he wrote to us. Just read the lyrics, it's heartbreaking but beautiful

Apart from him being an outstanding vocalist , lyricst ,his well balanced kind,wellmannerd,affectionate yet so hyper sometimes personality ,his visuals are amazing as you said mainly his facial features . He has this manly facial features sometimes it overshadowing his gorgeous features .Sometimes he looks so cute ,sometimes so hot,gorgeous sometimes all. In exo there are members we called "beagle line" and Chen is one of it along with baekhyun and chanyeol, they are the loudest member of the group. Chen is also the most mannerable member, he can loud but he can also be well disciplined. Another one, chen doesn't get angry, when he is mad he will be the one who say sorry first even if its not his fault.

Chen is also very brave and a bit of a dare devil. He went on a rock climbing course and was the only one going through it like normal no fear in site. He didn’t get scared in the haunted house because he was being an angel and I believe he was the first to try the ground hang gliding on Exo Ladder.

You're right about chen singing his whole life, even before he debuted he was part of bands, singing in classrooms, already knowing that the path he'll take is to be a singer from young. His mom sings well as well, from what he says, so he probably got his talent from his mom :D

Chen is the best vocalist in kpop. Definitely the best in 3rd gen. Even non fans know it. In 2014 only 3 years after debut chen was placed in top5 best vocalist of all time by critics. And its been 7 years now. He has improved a lot.

In Korea, its a taboo to be pregnant before getting married, so that was one of the reasons why Chen was bashed. Another, is that the expected image of an idol is the boyfriend/gf image, that's why photocards sell like hotcakes or merchandises, they are essentially part of a creation of a fantastical image for the escape of the entertained. So it becomes: why would anyone want to buy a married idol's poca and store it? It's weird like storing someone else's husband's photo in your wallet. I think this is the dilemma faced and it's an issue caused by the entertainment industry itself. Their determination for profit, has brought about these kind of mindset among the audience and the misery for the idols themselves who only dreams to sing and perform to a large audience.

And yet, Chen's photocards are some of my favorites. I could care less that he's a married man. I don't have a problem with thinking a married man is attractive or calling him cute, or even thinking "DAYUM" about him. It's not like I am going to do anything about it. The fact that they think that he is any less than he was because he is married now, is ridiculous. He still loves every one of his fans as much as he ever did. He never thought of his fans as his wife or girlfriend, so nothing has actually changed. I can understand the fan's disappointment and shock, initially. I mean, it was a huge bomb that he dropped and it caught people unawares. But have your pout and get over it. The fact that they are STILL harping about him being removed from the group, is ridiculous. Don't these people have jobs, or parents, or someone to shake them and tell them to grow the hell up? I would so b*&^# slap anyone in my circle that was so out of touch with reality.

In Korea, there is an unmentioned taboo for idols, especially kpop idols. Many fandoms consists of younger generations, school age girls, younger women..and they have made it extremely hard for idols to have a life. With "Dispatch" spending all their time stalking idols outside of their dorms or homes, they just makes things even harder, fueling the emotions of these fans. So when Dispatch gets a picture of you with someone, it hits the papers, and these young, rather emotionally unstable fans demand answers, make hate comments, send death threats, to the idols and the person they were seen with, and protest to the agency to make them leave the group or they will cause such a riot in the public view demanding that idol leave the group or they will leave the fandom, and cause trouble for the entire group. Many of them are sasaengs. This happened to Baekhyun, Kai and Chen. But to have any type of relationship, they must go through the utmost covert secrecy...which is incredibly difficult for idols, seeing as many crazy fans detect their every move. I hate what they did to Chen. Okay, his girlfriend got pregnant. He will get married. A whole year earlier, Chen's situation was already discussed amongst the members, family members, the agency...as to how they would play it out, when to release the news..they had an album to make, an mv, and concert tours in the works...so when the news was released, everyone was prepared for the backlash...everyone of course, agency and all, stood by Chen...and if it wasn't for the true fans and their amazing support and love for Chen, Exo....omg, it was so beautiful to see these true fans so happy for Chen, commenting good feelings and wishes, like normal people (duh), slowly drowning out the haters...thank you Exol. You are amazing! Chen's girl turned 1 yr old in April, and a very big birthday party was held in an exclusive high-end Hotel, where the members, SM staff, all members family members, invited idols and many friends attended. It was heard to be such a grand bash, being totally exclusive and well guarded from fans who were outside the building. I'm sure everyone had a blast, I heard not one detail was spared, and Chen spent a pretty penny for the party. What a joy for him. It makes me happy.💙🌺

I can't comprehend the level of hate Chen has received. I know celebrity couples in other countries get hate because people are jealous or think the other person isn't good enough for their favourite artist, but this was on another level. People wanted him to leave Exo. You can't fire someone for having a family. He still needs to have a job and he's a celebrity so he can't just go work at Starbucks. They wouldn't have let him be a solo artist either, people were destroying their copies of his solo albums and posting them to SM. Putting extra pressure on the postal service at the start of the pandemic. Some people were just offended by the fact that they weren't married before she got pregnant but if they're claiming it's a moral issue, their own behaviour was much worse than that. It's also incredibly naive to think that a group of very attractive people aged 25-30 are all waiting until marriage. Some people even tried to say he shouldn't be having a baby before his enlistment since he was leaving the mother alone for 18 months but it wasn't planned so there was nothing he could do about that. I'm still mad about the whole thing. I want him to sue them all but he's too nice to do it.
